Summary: PERSONAL BEST
Review: I have been an Adrianne Lee fan since reading her first Intrigue, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE, back in 1994. THE BRIDE'S SECRET is, I think, her personal best. It literally held me spellbound. Thank you so much for the fun, Adrianne.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I loved the classic elements of this: authoress comes to spooky bed and breakfast to track down her missing father. There was a secret passage, a ghost, a mysterious portrait--all the little touches I love, but it all fell flat for me because the hero was so TIRESOME. Not very interesting to begin with (we first meet him fixing the plumbing--now THAT'S romance!), and then all this angsting over whether he will go mad (it's not a spoiler, he's angsting from the moment he appears between the pages). Also, I really think these Intrigue heroes and heroines have a tendency to fall for each other too fast. It's more fun if the romantic awareness builds a bit (like in the regular romances, you know? Or even like in--dare I say it? real life). Anyway, the heroine didn't seem to have much personality, and the hero was actually annoying, so this was give-it-to-the-used-bookstore candidate.

Summary: Good Story!
Review: I really liked it. Not as good as ALIAS: DADDY, my all-time favorite, but very entertaining. Read it!
