Rating: Summary: A little contrived, but okay romance Review: The beginning isn't bad - he's looking for his long lost sister and she's a private detective. That part I'm okay with. Of course PI Jennifer finds his sister very quickly. The sister is in hospital suffering from injuries received by an auto accident that left her widowed.PI Jennifer is now no longer in the picture. Brother and sister have a wonderful reunion and eventually Rich gets to meet his niece and nephew. Unfortunately, the person taking care of the kids can't take care of them any longer and Rich's sister asks him to step in and take over. Of course, he knows nothing about children, so he calls in PI Jennifer. Who doesn't have any little brothers or sister, no nieces or nephews, no friends with small children. So, like - why, exactly, is he calling her? The romance develops at a pretty predictible rate. They're attracted and they realize how much work taking care of two kids are. Of course, one of the kids gets sick and things get even more stressed out. Their "baby expert" goes into labor. In short, nothing works right for them. There are lots of misunderstandings and lots of things that should be said that aren't. This always annoys the pants off of me. I'm always ready to yell at the characters - "Just talk to each other, darn it!!" It's an okay read if you pick it up second hand, but otherwise, save your money.
Rating: Summary: WORTH READING Review: This story is worth reading when you take into consideration that U.S. Air Force Combat Controller Rich Larsen has spent the last ten years of his life in the military. The logistics of his having to take care of his injured sister's children is entirely credible and I do believe that the attraction he felt for Jennifer Bishop would also explain his calling on her for help. And who can explain how a person's upbringing or treatment may effect them but like most people they just want to hide their insecurities. The story is good over all and I loved little Caitlyn and her little bouts of wisdom. I would like to see more stories about women who are strong enough to stand by their military men no matter what - [except for a jerk like Jennifer's ex] - That will face the trials and tribulations of a military life that is not all ease and glory and help their men through it emotionaly [understanding that sometimes there is no help to be given] will be worth getting and reading.
Rating: Summary: Smooth dialog and honest Military portrayal Review: This was a well written story with some great humor. Rich and Jennifer are both in need of a change and they both get it in a wholly interesting and releastic way. Never much doubt about the outcome, but that is what a good romance is all about. Good protrayal of military life.

Rating: Summary: book description Review: U.S. Air Force Combat Controller Rich Larsen could parachute into danger in a moment's notice. But being besieged by his convalescing sister's two demanding children was an entirely different matter. Well, desperate means called for extreme measures. So the overwhelmed Uncle Sarge sent out an SOS to the pretty lady who had reunited him with his family. ** Before long, Jennifer Bishop worked a miracle on Rich's adorable wards- and on his heart. So much so that the rootless longer could almost picture them having a family of their own someday. Trouble was, a love-wary Jennifer had sworn off military men. Good thing Rich never backed away from a challenge!
