Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I laughed from start to finish, Totally enternaining.
Review: I received the book as a graduation gift. I thought the book was hilarious. I laughed from the time K.J. called Sonny "Fat Boy" until the time E, was marrying his ex-girlfriend who was going to marry his cousing. The book was very funny. This was the first African American male author's book I've read, and I was glad I read it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Had to read it straight through
Review: Characters in the book, I could relate to with food obcession. Van, please write more books, faster..

Summary: EXPECTED MORE!
Review: I originally read Beeperless Remote because I thought the story would be funny. I was only impressed with "two" jokes in that book. With the lastest book by Van W., I only purchased the book because it was picked up by a major publisher and thought it must be better than the first. While it was slightly better, I simply thought the whole issue dealing with the weight problems could be offensive to a sensitively overweight person. While I have never battled with a weight problem, I just found the book somewhat offensive and could not recommend it to my book club due to the sensitive subject. I did however, find some meat to the novel towards the end when you really began to see the relationship develop with the two main characters. Other than the ending, it was not at all a great book. The only thing I found funny was the bird!

Summary: Finally someone realizes love can come to the full-figured!
Review: I picked up the book because I was already reading Whitfield's first book 'Beeperless Remote'. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed 'Something's Wrong' even more. As a full-figured woman who has struggled w/ the diet game while dating, could relate to both main characters. Finally our plight is presented in a realistic and humorus way that explores the ups and downs of being overweight! After reading this (in one day), I was compelled to finish the first book! Now I can't wait for Whitfield's next book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: You'll be glad you read this
Review: I read this book in one sitting. The characters are very real. Mr. Whitfield has done it again!

We all know someone who has dealt with the "weight thang" either directly or indirectly. This book made me laugh so hard. Especially the scenes at the job.

Make sure you read Beeperless Remote too (if you haven't had the chance).

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unrealistic but refreshing
Review: I can honestly say I was disappointed when I first starting reading the book, but as I read on and on I was soon hooked!!!! This was a wonderful read that I have recommended to many friends that just wanted a good laugh!!! Keep up the good work Van.

Summary: Its was too funny and too real
Review: Van Whitfield had me giggling and laughing out loud at Sonny and Kayla and the bird. He took a humorous approach to the difficult subject of weight loss. Why we lose weight, and the fact that alot of men like their women to be lean and fit, but it does not matter that they are overweight. What a double standard. I haven't read Beeperless Remote, but I will go and get this book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: VERY ENTERTAINING!!
Review: Van Whitfield had me laughing out loud and rethinking my own dilemma with weight. KJ the bird was soooo funny. I bought Beeperless remote a year ago and now I'm going to read it, I can't wait for this author's next book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: MADE ME HUNGRY AND MADE ME LAUGH
Review: I had a lot of fun with this book, laughing out loud a lot and getting the munchies. It was a good read except:

a) the homeboy scenes didn't feel as important as they should have been and I had a tendency to skip over those parts and,

b) the ending was a little too pat.

But outside of that I enjoyed it fully (no pun intended!)
