Review: If you're a traveler and you enjoy a fast-paced murder mystery with romance on the side, "The Captain's Fund" will satisfy! The plot is well-crafted and the characters believable. The author made the story come together without straining my credibility. The descriptions of St. Marteen are obviously first-hand and make that wonderful island come alive. It was a thoroughly enjoyable book. I hope to see the characters in a sequel.

We have published Personal Computer education video tapes and workbooks for Hard of Hearing and Deaf people. The video tapes use American Sign Language, voice and the written word. THE CAPTAIN'S FUND was our first romance suspense paperback and we had a blast working with the author, Raina Wissing Harris.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Captain's Fund Review: The Captain's Fund is excellent! I read it for the murder mystery but I have to say that Harris keeps a sensual tension between the characters that forces the reader to read on. You can't help but develop a personal interest in the characters and begin to join in with them to try to solve the case. The mystery is well thought through with several good twists. I hope that this is continued as a series. It will definitely be on my shelves.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A review of "The Captain's Fund". Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book. As a mystery, it is not "gimicky", and the story line follows a logical pattern. Good use of an "exotic" setting is St. Maarten. I look forward to Ms. Harris's next novel. It could develop into an interesting series.
