Summary: Couldn't put it down
Review: I bought the book on St Maarten and once I started it, I had to finish. I got into the charaters and action from page one. I liked the way Harris built the story from chapter to chapter. In fact, i took a tour of the island after I read the book to see the places mentioned. What a blast to be there!! Harris writes clean and straightforward. She addes enough detail to move the plot along but does not go overboard.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: page turner
Review: I sat down with this book and didn't stop reading until I was done. I really got into the plot and characters and now I want to visit St Maarten. The reading is easy and does not contain foul langauge or unnecesary violence.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good pace and real life characters
Review: I really liked the pace of the story - fast and easy to follow. I also like how the author created the charaters. I like this one so much, I'm reading Smoldering next.

Summary: Loved every word!!!
Review: I enjoyed the story from the first page. Fast paced and just enough information for my rading enjoyment. You'll like it. You need to read Smoldering too.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Quick and Enjoyable
Review: I like finding new authors that I enjoy. A friend told me about Harris and I bought both books. I read them last weekend. If you like action, you'll like these. There's just enough romance to keep it interesting and the right amount of filler description.

Try this one for a moving expereince.

Summary: What a story!!
Review: It contains mystery, murder and romance and a wonderful Carribean island - St. Maarten. I like the characters and the setting. I was taken into the story from the very beginning. It's easy reading so I could put it down and come back to it days later with no problem. Great book for a busy schedule.

Summary: I passed this book along to a friend - it was good
Review: I appreciate stories that don't get intangled in too much description. Harris gave me enough to enjoy the characters and the surroundings without over doing it. I was drawn into the story from page 1. I'll be reading SMOLDERING next.

Summary: The action moved you.
Review: I read Smoldering first. i enjoyed that book. I liked being wisked away to St Maarten in The Captain's Fund. A good place for this story of loose diamonds and theft. I fell in love with Rod, one of the main characters. Harris writes lean and mean.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unrelenting and Packed with Suspense
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Harris is a new author for me and i liked the change. The characters kept my interest for the entire book. Read Smoldering - another good story.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Gripping - reads like a whirlwind
Review: If you're looking for a page-turner, get this one. The pace is fast. The characters are lean. Harris writes with a quick pen - no fat on her pages.
