Rating: Summary: Exciting!! Review: I saw the book in the St Maarten Nights magazine when I was in St Maarten. I just finished it and loved every page. I liked the way Harris built the story from the first page to the last. Her characters are so real that I could see myself in MC. I have Harris' two other books which I'm looking forward to.
Rating: Summary: Ignites on the first page Review: Harris set her story on the beautiful island of St Maarten - just the right atmosphere for murder and stolen diamonds. Harris builds the pressure from the first page to the conclusion of the book. I liked the unrelenting tension between two of the main characters - Scott and Captain Blake.
Rating: Summary: Great story!!! Review: I couldn't put it down. The story moved at a fast pace and I never lost interest. I've been to St Maarten and I enjoyed the descriptions used by Harris.Harris introduces the characters in stages and the finale is quite suspenceful. If you like books that are easy to read and follow, read Harris.
Rating: Summary: I enjoyed every page. Review: I bought the book for my trip to St Maarten and finished it before I got off the plane. I enjoyed the story and the characters. Harris told an interesting story about a lot of greed and what that can do to a person - mainly murder. When I was in St Maarten I visited the places mentioned in the book and had a great time. If you like good clean reading, you'll enjoy this book. I have Harris' second book Smoldering.
Rating: Summary: Great Story Review: I was given this book by the owner of The Horny Toad, St. Marteen. We have stayed there several times and just returned this past week-end. The room where the book was written is right next to the room we always stay in. The book is well written, fast reading and keeps your interest. I have also read Smoldering and am about to start the third one. All the characters are real to life. Captain's Fund was made more interesting by the fact that I knew about all the places that were talked about in the book. I recommend this series highly.
Rating: Summary: You have to read this one Review: Harris captured the fast pace of the story from the first page. Her choice of settings - St Maarten - is a treat since I was there several years ago. I liked that Harris' three books have the same characters - another plus.
Rating: Summary: Powerful and exciting story Review: The book kept me reading well after I should have put it down. I really enjoyed the characters created by Harris. There were several times during the story I actually cried with them because the situations they were in were so real. I liked harris' writing style - easy and interesting.
Rating: Summary: Quick and Enjoyable Review: The story floated over the pages and i couldn't read it fast enough. I loved the setting of St Maarten. Each character was developed as an indiviual and each had very remarkable traits. The plot unfolded as I finished each page and found myself reading a lot longer than i had planned.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable and a fun read Review: I recieved all three books from Harris as a gift. I enjoyed The Captain's Fund because it was fast paced and I liked the characters. MC is her own woman and doesn't mind getting the things she wants. When she runs into Rod that all changes. I liked how Harris built the story and it kept me turning the pages.
Rating: Summary: Fast paced Review: I liked this one. The writing style kept the paging turning. The story is set on St Maarten. I liked reading about a place i had visited. The romance between the lead characters is laced around the murder investigation...makes for very enjoyable reading.
