Rating: Summary: ORANGE Review: Orange is the story of a young woman at a crossroad in her life.
Orphaned in her teen years she has spent the last 8 years running her own magazine that is about to go national and she has to decide if that is what she really wants.
The great dialogue between the characters, ranging from popular culture and modern music to the same fears and dreams we all face,
really made the book for me.It reminded me of the dialogue in The
Breakfast Club,only more mature.
Personally,I would recommend the book to anyone, and plan on lending the book to some of my friends{as soon as I read it again}.
Rating: Summary: Intriguing Book Review: I found the book Orange very intriguing. Characters were awesome. Robin, the english speaking waitress, was my kind of girl. Demen and Dollar seem to have so much in common, I would think they were meant for one another. Jack was truly a pillar to the magazine and Karyn was a loyal and true friend to Demen. I started reading Orange and couldn't put it down until I got to the end. Found myself sad because I wanted it to go on. Enjoyed the book very much and felt as I was part of it. Thanks, Rudolph Ferrell
Rating: Summary: Leaves you wanting more Review: I found this book to be an enjoyable read. The author really brings you into the book with avid descriptions of the characters surroundings. I laughed out loud as well as let a tear or two slide down my cheek. If you are wanting a weekend read this would be the one you can't put down. I'm looking for a second book to follow because this one leaves you wanting more.

Rating: Summary: Orange...an excellent read Review: I must say that Orange is truly an excellent read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was almost impossible to put down. All of the characters are interesting. I left the book wanting to know more about them. I hope there will be more. I will definitely look for more from this author, A great job of writing. It had a constant flow that was very easy to follow. It managed to tug at my emotions and curiosities. I found myself emotionally charged with this writing, as it hit close to home. You can relate with what the characters are going through in their life. I am going to tell everyone to read this book.
Rating: Summary: A Great Read Review: I though this was a great book. It has a good story with a well written plot. It was easy to follow and didn't stay in one place too long. It also didn't get overly descriptive. I also liked the names of the characters...Demen, Dollar and Dread. The names fit the characters well. The characters had great conversations, especially when they were at Freddy's. It made you want to keep reading to see who would say what next.
Rating: Summary: Orange Review: I thought the book Orange was a wondeful. I don't read fiction as often as I should, and this makes me want to read more. The character Dollar was my favorite. He was portrayed very well and reminded me of someone I knew. I liked the way Demen and him shared many moments together, but it took Demen awhile to realize how much Dollar meant to her. I finished the book in one night because I couldn't put it down. I was intrigued by the book and was thoroughly upset when it ended.
Rating: Summary: a promising author on the way to the big leagues Review: People react to life's changes in various ways; some people will do anything to stay in control of those changes. Demen couldn't find a magazine that offered her everything she was looking for, so she started her own. After eight years of making it work, hiring people and expanding to a successful level of publishing, Orange is on the verge of going national. Demen has made it to the big leagues. So why does her office door remain closed with a note posted to "Go ask Jack"? Jack has had all the answers for some time now, acting as the boss and running the show. Karyn, Demen's friend and the Fashion consultant for Orange is worrying over Demen's distancing from the business. Dollar, Demen's best guy friend, decides to take off to find himself on a cross country road trip. A new man enters Demen's life and she finds a new place to hang out and make friends. But why does it feel like she is being consumed by these new distractions? Why does it feel like her whole life is about to change? Thirteen years ago Demen's parents were killed in an airplane crash. Her efforts at developing Orange were an attempt to take control of her life. Now, when the magazine is growing so rapidly, Demen is faced with the reality that she is about to jump into a race that she might lose. She contemplates walking away from it before it can crumble in her hands. Her best friend has gone and she fears that he may not return. She has pushed her girlfriend nearly out of her life. Demen is struggling to control her life's changes out of her fear of losing those things that are most dear to her. It is a struggle we all deal with in life. Rowan Lore has written a story that will hit home with many readers. Her characters are vividly true to life and very interesting to get to know. Their nuances will bring a smile to your face or a nod to your head as you recognize the quirks of your own life. The plot is well done with a neatly wrapped up crescendo to bring home the pinnacle of the story. A handful of overlooked typos do little to distract the reader from a great book. I would watch for more from Rowan Lore...a promising author on the way to the big leagues. Review by Heather Froeschl of www.BookReview.com
Rating: Summary: A thought-provoking tale of inner conflict Review: The debut novel of Rowan Lore, Orange is the intriguing story of Demen, a woman who put all her energy into starting a magazine called "Orange". Eight years later, the magazine is about to achieve national distribution -- yet suddenly Demen is distancing herself from it, and her friends, and seems to prefer losing herself in distractions. A thought-provoking tale of inner conflict and sublimated motives, and which is especially recommended to fans of the romance genre, Orange documents Rowan Lore as an author of considerable originality and a natural born storyteller.
