Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Submission? or Cleverness? Review: Both the hero and the heroine have ulterior motives, but their passion leads them to come up with a perfect solution. I hope Will Shakespeare will rewrite the Taming of the Shrew when he reads this book!

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: not my cup of tea... Review: I quit this book half way through. While the writing is good, I just couldn't "root" for these characters. I think the main problem is that the hero, is a known rake and womanizer-but no reasoning behind his actions, as well as no redeeming features about him surfaced early enough in the story to "win me over" to liking the characters.
The heroine is likable enough-but does several stupid, and possibly dangerous stunts, that make her a little TSTL. If you enjoy rakes then this may be a book that is more your taste.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Where there's a will... Review: In "Taming Angelica," Ms. Chambers delivers a thoroughly modern heroine set in Victorian times. Angelica is quick witted and funny, and a delight to follow. The relationship she has with the hero, Will, is most appealing, as their business arrangement turns into much more.

Where those books were dark and Gothic-y, TAMING ANGELICA is light and funny. A Victorian romp.I'm please to announce that the book recently won the Millennium Contest from the Monterey Bay Chapter of Romance Writers of America for a romance to be published in the year 2000. One of the judges said the following: "Fast and sassy. Great characters in a fun, sexy read." Other writers have praised TAMING ANGELICA. "A fun, fast-paced adventure of the heart," Michele Hauf, TAME ME NOT, Zebra 10/99. "Alice Chambers matches a most unusual and intriguing Victorian heroine with a tantalizing rogue of a hero...TAMING ANGELICA is a delightful read!" Sharon Schulze, THE HIDDEN HEART, Harlequin Historicals. "You'll laugh, grin, and finally sigh with satisfaction: a hot yet humorous tale of the heart," Candice Kohl, A KNIGHTLY VOW, Kensington Ballad, 9/2000. I hope you'll enjoy TAMING ANGELICA
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A funny, hot book Review: This is a great book by an author I've never heard of. It's set in Victorian London and tells the story of two people who start out to use each other for selfish purposes and end up falling in love. The love scenes sizzle. I'll definitely look for more books by this author.
