Summary: Crazy Love
Review: Isaiah Johnson has it going on. He is young, sucessful and the CEO of
his own company he feels like everything is going his way. Isaiah also
has the love of a beautiful woman; Justine Dasant. Things between them
seem to be going great, until Isaiah discovers what she is really like.

Justine is a beautiful woman with a lot of ugly secrets. She appears to
be a normal person, who is capable of handling whatever life throws her
way, but this is far from the truth. When Isaiah's attention focuses
towards his business and not her, she begins to lose control, and
decides that if she can't have Isaiah no one will.

The Kiss Of Judas by Renee Allen is a really good book with a gripping
and suspenseful storyline. Overall, I enjoyed the book, but at times
Justine's antics were a little over the top and I lost interest. I look
forward to reading more of Ms. Allen's books.

Summary: Kiss of Success
Review: Many novels I read are for entertainment purposes only. The Kiss of Judas was not only entertaining but also thought provoking. Renee Allen has penned a novel that challenges the mind to focus on not just the melodrama that is unfolding but to also focus on the constant Christian battle of good and evil and living your life with a purpose.
Isaiah, the main male character, knows he has purpose in life but without the encouragement of his girlfriend Justine, he pushes the nagging burn in his heart aside to appease her. Justine is a woman that goes after what she wants, even if it means she has to sell her soul. Both of them find their true selves after an encounter forces them to go their separate ways. One of them is not happy with the outcome and uses "by any means necessary" to conquer.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the novel is the timing in which Allen reveals the characteristics of the each character. She also allows the scenes and episodes to unfold in gradual or in real time sequence. This allows the reader to follow the story as though they are living in the same city and the same time yet also delve into the mind to understand why the scene has occurred. Just when you think you know what will transpire next, something tremendous occurs knocks you off your feet. The Kiss of Judas is unquestionably a novel that will have you turning the pages to see what happens next. I highly recommend this novel to challenges your mind and captures your spirit.

Summary: Review of The Kiss of Judas
Review: Newcomer Renee Allen has blasted into the writing scene with the Kiss of Judas. A combination of romance, mystery, and humor, this faith-based novel makes an excellent read. Justine Dasant is a woman of the new millennium. She's independent, sassy, beautiful, and not afraid to go after what she wants....no matter the costs. Isaiah is the ever so elusive good guy. He's handsome, successful, and ready for a commitment. Told from their opposing viewpoints, the story paints a vivid picture of what can happen when relationships go bad. With its twists and turns and an ending that will shock you, the Kiss of Judas will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat.

Summary: "KIss" a Must Read!
Review: Renee Allen enters the industry with a bang in her first novel "The Kiss of Judas". It has the love story, drama, suspense, and mystery that every interesting novel should contain. You begin by categorizing the characters, and just when you think you have it all figured out.......Ms. Allen also adds just the right spiritual twist to make you re-evaluate your own existence. I had a very hard time putting this novel down once I began, and I'm sure it will have the same effect on others! Definitely a must read!!

Summary: FATAL ATTRACTION
Review: Renee Allen really came through in this page turner. I couldn't put the book down once I got started. If the title doesn't hook you, then the 1st few pages will. The characters are well developed, the dialogue fresh and the plot twisted. I was really able to get into the characters. She made you love them or hate them, which is the sign of a good writer. Justine's character may have pushed the limit on dastardly deeds, but the book is great reading. I'll be looking forward to more of Ms. Allen's work. Keep up the good job!!

Summary: Never Gonna Let You Go
Review: The biggest mistake Isaiah made was to break up with his girlfriend of just over a year. Justine Dasant vows that she will never let him go and if she can't have him no one will. Suspense and intrigue dominate this debut novel, The Kiss of Judas, by Renee Allen.

Justine Dasant appears to be a together woman on the surface. She is a beautiful and successful advertising executive. She dated Isaiah for over a year and claimed to love him as much as he loved her. Justine was also involved with Tony, who was in love with her. She does not return his love, but is unable to distance herself from him. After Isaiah catches them together, he ends his relationship with Justine. The break-up frees Isaiah to move on with his life. He accepts his calling to preach and begins a relationship with Debra, a beautiful model. They begin an intense fast paced relationship, much to Justine's chagrin. Justine cannot stand seeing Isaiah going on without her and feels he has wronged her. Justine seeks to avenge this perceived wrong in the same manner she has avenged other perceived wrongs. Justine uses her friends and Tony as accomplices in her dangerous plots. When Justine is angry and on the loose, strange things happen and people disappear.

There are times where the storyline lags, but then becomes exciting. Several different plots were introduced, some of which fizzled due to lack of development. There were a few grammatical mistakes that could have easily been corrected with good editing. However, Ms. Allen pens a story that is suspenseful and full of surprising twists and turns. The shocking ending is worth the reading experience.
