Summary: It takes a Village
Review: I have had this novel sitting on my bookshelf for a few months and if I had known how deeply moving this story was I would have read it the day it arrived. The heart of the novel is in the small community who are healed by the heroin and in turn bring her healing as well. This book is not a quick read because it is filled with beautiful descriptions of the setting, the characters and their feelings which are all simply melodious and to be savored. Its like a good piece of music which sweeps you off your feet and floats you along its paths. I am going to lend it to all my friends even though I surely risk never getting it back. I think I'll have to buy another copy.

Summary: beautifully written!
Review: I love this book and highly recommend it. I would love to tell my take on this but you will have to take the journey for yourself, worth it for sure! Very quick read. I cannot wait to read her next book

Summary: beautifully written!
Review: I loved it loved it loved it. There is nothing like a well written love story that we all can relate to in one way or another. The author has a true gift and this little known book needs to be discovered. You can actually feel the pain of the characters - some of the most developed characters I've ever had the pleasure to meet; and that is exactly how it felt; that I know these people. The friendship and loyalty displayed makes this reader long for such an experience; even the painful, heartbreaking parts because the sacrifices made can only be made by one who truly knows how to love. Read it - enjoy it and then pass it along to a friend.

Summary: A sad, gem of a novel
Review: Nice job. I would recommend this book - and have! It is a sad, gem of a novel. As the chapters jump back and forth through time, the reader is taken on a heartbreaking journey. It is a bittersweet story about sorrow and love and friendship. The characters are richly developed and the lives of unrelated Colorado mountain folk are nicely intertwined as they unknowingly work to heal the deeply wounded Emily, who is running from a pain so intense she feels she has nothing to offer anyone. Little does she know, the music she plays on her violin from her verandah, sets in motion unforgettable relationships. This is a nice, easy read, somewhere along the lines of a Nicholas Sparks novel.
