Summary: This is one book that belongs on the keeper shelf!
Review: The book only has to have the name Jamie Denton on the title and it's in my hands. Rules of Engagement is a fast paced page turner that contains non-stop sensuality and heart stopping emotion. This is one author that belongs on every romance fans keeper shelf!

Attorney Jill Cassidy has a problem, her baby sister is getting married and her family believes she's engaged. Sexy contractor Morgan Price needs a lawyer for his hot shot employee he needs back on the job to keep his construction company afloat. It's a match made in heaven as they employ the medieval economic system, i.e., barter.

The attraction between the main characters are electric and their Rules of Engagement are soon in danger of becoming extinct. Morgan wants nothing to do with a career minded woman thanks to his mother's neglect of her children. Jill wants Morgan, but on her terms. Can Morgan look past Jill's brief case to the heart of the woman?

The characterization is superb and believable as Ms. Denton brings us real life situations and obstacles. The cast of secondary characters shine. Readers can look for the sequel, BREAKING THE RULES in September 2000 to follow Jill's baby sister, Carly's romance with Ex-Navy SEAL, Cooper Wilde.

Rules of Enagement gets 5 Hearts on the Tuscadero HeartRate Scale!

Summary: An enjoyable read...
Review: This is the delightful story of two people who are exactly what they don't want in a mate, but exactly what they both need. Jill Cassidy is an up and coming lawyer, briefcase firmly in hand, focused on her career. She has no time for a relationship and needs a faux fiance' to protect her from her family's matchmaking attempts when she goes home for her younger sister's wedding. Morgan Price is ready for a serious relationship but certainly not with a career woman. He grew up with a mother whose attention was devoted to her job rather than her family. He's not about to travel that road again. The ensuing entanglements provide an enjoyable read as Jill and Morgan face her family, sharing a single hotel room and coming to terms with what it is that they really need to be happy - each other. The pace is quick, the cast of characters are lovable and we're left knowing that Jill and Morgan will be able to navigate the bumps that lay ahead of them because they've learned sometimes the rules have to be broken.

Summary: Learn The Rules of Engagement!
Review: We're surrounded by rules every single day of our lives. We have rules that tell us to follow the law, rules of the road, and rules of conduct. There are even rules on how to clean the coffee maker!

Jill Cassidy knows all about rules. She's an attorney. Rules are her business. But when she approaches a sexy stranger and asks him to pretend to be her fiancé, she finds herself with a new set of rules she must learn...the Rules of Engagement.

As far as Morgan Price is concerned, the only rule he plans to adhere to is keeping his heart safe from the sweet, sassy lawyer. Little does he know that Jill has every intention of bending that rule to the breaking point.

I enjoyed my time with Jill and Morgan and hope you do as well. And if you're up for a little rule breaking, be on the lookout for Jill's sister, Carly in my Harlequin Temptation, as she intentionally plans on Breaking The Rules in my September 2000 Harlequin Temptation #797. In fact, Carly plans on breaking *all* of them!

I love to hear what you think of Jill and Morgan's romance. You can write to me at P.O. Box 224, Mohall, North Dakota 58761, via e-mail at jamie@jamidenton.net or by visiting my website...

Happy reading, Jamie Denton

Summary: Dynamite! Enough spice and pizzazz to snag your attention!
Review: When drop-dead gorgeous, Morgan Price walks into the law offices of Lowell and Montgomery looking for a criminal lawyer, he never imagines he's going to find a beautiful angel with baby blue eyes who would put wicked thoughts in his head!

Jill Cassidy's heart starts thumping madly the minute she lays eyes on Morgan. She also gets an idea growing in her mind which can help both, Morgan and herself, out of their predicaments. Jill's sister, Carly, is getting married and the Cassidy clan is looking forward to meeting Jill's fiance at the wedding. Only problem is, she doesn't really have one!

She discovers Morgan needs a lawyer to represent one of his employees and comes up with the perfect solution. Since Lowell and Montgomery don't have anyone to spare at the moment for a minor misdemeanor, and Morgan can't find any other lawyers on such short notice, he has no choice but to agree to Jill's proposition.

Jamie Denton's RULES OF ENGAGEMENT is a highly entertaining book for lovers of romance. Well written and superbly plotted, it is sure to snag the attention of the readers from the first line and keep them hooked right to the end!

The dialogue was good with the characters acting and speaking so naturally. Jill's second proposition to Morgan for a "no strings attached" affair came as a pleasant surprise but yet so true to her "go get `em" personality!

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT is a book I would highly recommend to all readers of romance. This is one story not to be missed! I'm looking forward to reading Carly's story in BREAKING THE RULES, due to be released in September 2000.
