Rating: Summary: Steven by Steven it Comes Together Review: "The Fourth Steven" was well worth waiting for! Margaret Moseley's Honey Huckleberry was charming. Although hesitant to be an active detective, she still succeeds in collecting the bits of information necessary to uncover the killer, even after her accomplice in detecting has given up!The long awaited follow-up to "Bonita Faye" succeeds in the same way that Bonita did -- with humor, endearing characters, and intelligence. I'm looking forward to our next encounter with Honey Huckleberry!

Rating: Summary: The Fourth Steven Review: A captivating mystery with a bonus of a wonderful "trip" to my hometown of Ft. Worth. It wove just the right balance of innocence, intrigue and nostalgia to keep me reading until the book was finished! Comfortable, readable writing style. Can't wait to read the next in that series, Grinning in His Mashed Potatoes.

Rating: Summary: The Fourth Steven is a mystery with a whole lot of heart. Review: From the gripping opening, to the surprising ending, The Fourth Steven is a book sure to keep even the most ardent whodunit fan guessing. Ms. Mosely has presented an exquisitely endearing cast of characters that made this reader wonder what's going on with their lives long after she read the final page. Ms. Mosely is much more than a flash in the pan mystery writer. She is a born storyteller with an adorable sense of humor and an amazing knack for drawing her readers into the lives of her richly painted, one of a kind characters. The Fourth Steven is simply the best read to come along in this genre in years.
Rating: Summary: Who is the Fourth Steven? Review: Holly Huckleberry lives alone in a house left to her by her parents. She lives her life on schedule, with each week of her sales trips to bookstores carefully planned, even down to what her wardrobe will be. Her life is all carefully planned until she receives a call from The Fourth Steven. She already knows three Stevens, each one of whom is an important part of her life. This Steven recites the line from a poem which Holly knows well, and she also knows that she is to respond to him with the next line. It's a game she plays with childhood friend Steven Hyatt, but this is someone else altogether. This Steven refers to a murder, and that's where all the trouble begins. We follow Holly on her travels around Texas, down to South Padre Island where she visits her boyfriend Harry. No matter where she goes, however, Steven's calls follow her. Who is this stranger and how does he know so much about her? Finding out the answer to that is what the book is about and it's an enjoyable adventure.

Rating: Summary: A real mystery? Review: I hope The Fourth Steven satisfies all those who enjoyed Bonita Faye. I like Honey Huckleberry and this book starts a series about the Fort Worth based book rep. The sequel, Grinning in His Mashed Potatoes, is due out in '99. I love it that the status of the Edgar finalist Bonita Faye is still debated---is it a real mystery?----hence my offering of The Fourth Steven.
Rating: Summary: great fun Review: I picked this book up expecting another ho-hum female PI, and barely enough going on to hold my attention. Instead, I got a real pleasure that i carried around until i had finished it (same day I started). The characters are interesting and a little eccentric, and eccentric without being stupid. The plot is good, but really secondary to the interplay of the charcters. First thing this morning i logged on to order the rest of Ms. Moseley's books. I highly recommend this book
