Summary: a very good touching story
Review: Bride of the lion by elizabeth stuart is about Jocelyn montagne who is left to guard her fathers fortress when Robert DELangley the original owner comes to take back what is rightfully his. Robert is known as the fabled lion of normandy and decides to hold his enemy's daughters hostage for his lands. This book was so well written I felt jocelyns pain, her father not loving her as much as her sister and brother who was also very mean. They would tell her she was ugly and abuse her until Robert showed up and admired her spirt when she did not swoon at the slightest threat. He also showed her she was not ugly but beautiful! Even in though he did not want to fall in love with her. this is one of the best books I have ever read!

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I absolutely loved this book! It grabbed me at the beginning and did not let go. Elizabeth Stuart is a very talented writer and I will definitely pick up another of hers.

Summary: what an irritable book!
Review: I bought this book with such expectation derived from all those reviewers before me.I love romance set in medieval times.Despite their hostage-conqueror situation, protagonists get in love each other ultimately, followed by continuous conflict. But not this one.The heroine just falls in him from the first sight and keeps being ardent toward him when he deserves being put some moral and restraint and doesn't have slightest affection or regert for her own flesh and blood.(even though half.)and you know why?Her father took what is rightfully his some two decades ago.I don't think that's enough reason for heroine to be obedient immediately and lust after him(she's so wanton,in my opinion) while he bedded other two women including one after their marriage-so called adultery-and show no genuine love or affection for her.I've read so many romance books which I enjoyed most of the time and this one is the first romance forced to read due to money spent. I usually don't write reviews because it's irksome but I have to write on this one to let you know this is not at all romantic and just makes you want to throw this book away with some nasty words.

Summary: Excellent book
Review: I have read this book at least four times. Such a powerful storyline between Robert and Jocelyn. I highly recommend this book; but have trouble liking anything else written by Ms. Stuart. Guess that's why I keep re-reading this book. One hit wonder? Let's hope not.

Summary: Very entertaining and heartwarming
Review: I loved this book. Definately a curl up by the fire book. It is so touching how Jocelyn finally falls for the lyon. you can taste her disapointment when he ends up betrothed to her sister instead of herself. You must read this book to appreciate true love!!!

Summary: This is my all-time favorite romance!

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: I've read, no started to read more books than I can count from the "medieval" genre. This is one of the very best. Not only did it keep me up late turning pages, but next moring I made the mistake of picking it up to read a few pages. Uh huh, late to work.

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: Jocelyn Montagne was always treated as more of the black sheep in her family, especially when compared to the silvery blonde beauty of her step-sister. She was the product of a politically arranged marriage that her father was forced into. Jocelyn was capable and worked beside the servants, therefore when her father and step-brother were called away, she could assume the duties of chatelane.

Arrogant, dangerous and blessedly handsome, Robert de Langley waited for the right moment and choose that time to re-claim the de Langley castle that the Montagnes had stolen from his family thru treachery. Robert reclaimed the castle and faced the daughter of his enemy, Jocelyn.

Armed with a small dirk, Jocelyn, stood up to Robert with strength and determination and negotiated her and her sisters imprisonment. She may have appeared strong, but underneath she was not immune to the handsome warrior, Robert de Langley. They developed a friendship based on respect for each other that soon blazed into a most compelling and sensual love story.

This was my first book by this author and certainly not to be my last if this is an indication of her taleny. The Historical details added so mych flavor to this stunningly beautiful tale. Definitely a keeper and not to be missed. The love scenes are wonderful!
