Summary: A real page turner!
Review: I thought Kate Stevenson's first book was good, but this one is even better. Once again she has given us a story that truly involves the reader. As Cassie Bowers and Luke Slater rediscover their love for one another, they find that it is possible, not only to fall in love again, but to love in spite of (or perhaps because of) their differences. Cassie is a witness to a murder, but she's also on a deadline to write an expose of money-laundering in Boulder, Colorado. Unfortunately, she can't remember what she's seen, so Luke must provide a 24/7 guard for her. Even a nosy next-door neighbor can't provide security against a killer on the loose who wants to eliminate Cassie. From Boulder to Denver to a supposedly safe cabin in the mountains, we follow them as new love grows despite a history that ordinarily wouldn't allow two people to fall in love. Stevenson mixes steam heat, tension, murder, and a unique introspective look at love to give the reader a real page-turner! This is a great read. I couldn't put it down.
