Rating: Summary: no thanks....... Review: I am a Bittner fan and have enjoyed many of her books. This one isn't one of them. By the time I got to page 80, rape had been discussed at least 20 times. It starts with Nina's mother's brutal rape mentioned several times, Nina's fear of men, all of the leering and lusting of the men she encounters, then the actual attempted rape by a sleezeball, only to get out of that and have her threatened several times with gang rape........I just didn't see a great future in continuing the story..I am not affronted by the topic of rape withing a good story's context but this was mentioned every few pages in one form or other or at least that is how it seemed to me. Anyhow, I tossed it.
It's your call.
Rating: Summary: Unique... a true page turner... Review: Shameless is a wonderful story filled with entertaining and warm characters... as well as a few outlaws. A very unique storyline, that adds the true historical fact of the Army's camel experiment of 1855.Nina Juarez, started her life of crime alongside her brother, after their parents were killed by American soldiers. The last person she ever expected to be kind to her, or even to fall in love with, was an American soldier. Can there ever be a future for them, and how far should a sister go to protect her brother... The answers are all in this unique and enjoyable story, that will surely be a page turner! As the first book I have read by Roseanne Bittner, it will certainly not be the last. I'm anxious to look into her other stories.

Rating: Summary: Loved It Review: This book has alot of humor in it. It is set before the Civil War when camels were bought to the U.S. to be used by the army. The romance between Clay and Nina is so down to earth and easy to relate to
