Rating: Summary: This Book is So Much Fun! Review: ARIEL'S DANCE starts off a little rocky -- during the whole first chapter, I was thinking, "What is going on here?" -- but by page thirty, it really starts to pick up. In tone, it reminded me of a mix between Xena, Warrior Princess and Star Wars: it doesn't take itself too seriously and there are a lot of really funny moments. Also, I thought the characterizations of Drakkan and Ariel were excellent and sympathetic enough that I would want to get to know them in real life. The sexual tension is so hot in places that it seems to burn up the pages, and the ending was well-done.In short, I LOVE this book. It has a delicious blend of outrageous humor, comedy of manners, impossible love, and a touch of the fantastical. So much fun! I will definitely be buying more of Chloe Hall's books in the future.

Rating: Summary: Fun, sexual tension (and more), and a plot, yet. Review: Chloe Hall has managed to combine all the elements of the ultimate Romance - in a futuristic, no less. The characters are intelligent, individualistic, and funny. Don't read if explicit bothers you.
Rating: Summary: Thoroughly disappointing Review: For a book that's set on a "pleasure planet," the sex scenes were pretty tame. If sexual tension is your bag, then this book will definitely appeal to you. If your romance novel tastes run to the more explicit, don't bother.
Rating: Summary: Ariel's Dance is out-of-this-world fun! Review: I loved Ariel's Dance! The clash between free-spirit Ariel and stodgy-but-studly Dekkan caused sparks of humor and sounds of laughter--my own. Author Chloe Hall took me to another world and I enjoyed my entire stay. I happily recommend Ariel's Dance!
Rating: Summary: What a great, funny story! Review: I loved this story! It was funny and fun. Pure escapism, of course, but fast-paced and had me roaring with laughter right to the very end. A fun, fun read, and a perfect way to while away an afternoon.
Rating: Summary: Sophmoric Review: If a title indicates something special with a character's dance, and the character herself has a unique ability, why is there so little reference to it in the plot? It was just a lure, and a poor one at that. A very common romance without that spark.
Rating: Summary: Not worth the money Review: Sadly the writer of the blurb on the cover did not write the entire book. I can usually plow through slow beginnings or even maintain credibility when the plot elements don't make sense. But this book failed to entertain at all. The characters were boring and uninteresting - I just didn't care what happened to them! Writers of futuristic romance should be more aware of some of the things that would be different in a world that was so advanced. The holes in the sci-fi were too large to ignore. In many ways this looks like a short story that got enlarged- and doesn't have the goods to fill the pages so they became entangled in useless adjectives, and description that merely reinforced the fact that it was lacking in a good strong plot and a well researched background.
Rating: Summary: not bad, but not inspired Review: The plot was cute, but I felt the characters could have been a little better developed, especially the secondary players. Read this after you've read everything else you've wanted to read.
