Summary: Original, gripping plot
Review: A sexy romance, with an inventive and unusual plot. Romance writers had a lot more freedom to be original in the early days of category; this is Sandra at her daring and passionate best.

Summary: A reader's emotional rollercoaster; sensitive and sensual
Review: Captivating from page one, I couldn't put this book down.Sandra Brown introduced Arden, allowed the reader tobecome Arden's "friend", and developed that friendship with the turning of each subsequent page. Ms. Brown's ability to capture the sensual side of her characters is a special gift. You will feel the love between Arden and her son the moment that they meet. The difficult decisions that Arden must make are decisions any one of us could someday face. The issues of love, coersion, abuse, trust and desperation are vividly portrayed in this book. I recommend it highly.

Summary: The best of Sandra Brown
Review: I have read a lot of Mrs. Brown's books but this has proven to be her best! It is such a loving and overwhelming story that will take your breath away. I just could not put the book down. The romance and deep love between Drew and Arden are incredibily well described and, as always, Mrs. Brown proves to be the best in describing love scenes. I highly recommend it. For me, this is definitely her best book!

Summary: Not the best
Review: I have read almost every single one of Sandra Brown's books and this one is definately not one of the best. I felt that the conflict was "resolved" in a very unexciting fashion and that the entire book was just a string of loves scenes. I usually expect Brown to make the characters struggle with each other before falling in love. Arden and Drew were drawn to each other from the very beginning and although Arden's secret made her nervous throughout the book, she did not let it affect any of her decisions. I thought that the story and the logic behind the characters' actions did not make sense. If I have to recommend a Sandra Brown, it would be "Led Astray" or "A Treasure Worth Seeking".

Summary: slow to read
Review: I love Sandra Brown books! But I found that this one took to long to reach climax. I wouldn't say that the book was awful - but she has wrote better.
