Summary: Gut-wrenching contemporary "Beauty and the Beast"
Review: An article in the newspaper about a man discovered living underground in a Minneapolis park inspired this contemprary love story, which blends themes from Native American legend with the allure of "Beauty and the Beast." A man with a troubled past, a woman on the run, and a homeless boy with one heck of an imagination come together in a story of redemption, renewal, forging family, building community, and finding heroes where you least expect them

Summary: The Night Remembers is a story to remember!
Review: Angela is running from her past. She's trying to lose herself in a new city, cutting herself off from those she knows, and not looking to find new friendships. She just wants to live in peace. But then she meets Tommy T, a little boy who befriends her and needs her. He teaches her the ropes of living in the heart of the city, and worms his way into her heart. That one little crack soon leads to a flood of new relationships, friendships Angela wasn't looking for, but soon treasures. It also leads to her friendship with Jesse, a friendship that could be more, if only they can both learn to open themselves up.

Jesse's haunted by his past and has done his best to cut himself off from the world. He claims he wants no connections to other people, but can't seem to stop himself from caring. Tommy T is only one of the people in the neighborhood that Jesse finds himself getting mixed up with. And through Tommy T, Jesse meets Angela. Despite his best intentions, he can't help but be pulled to her.

Sometimes lost souls can find their way if they have someone to lean on. This book requires a bit of suspending disbelief. It has a surreal quality mixed into the gritty realism of inner-city life. Fans of the television series, Beauty and the Beast, will recognize the same "feel" in this story. It was an unusual story, but a good read that will tug at your heartstrings. I enjoyed it a lot.

Summary: a rivetting chiller and a brilliant love story
Review: Angela Prescott fled upstate New York, a place that had been home all her life, to get way from a stalker. She chose Minneapolis to live, figuring he would never be able to find her there. She was starting completely over, having to give up everything she loved except her dog. Her stalker Matt was a pro at fooling people. Everyone believed he was perfect and she was turning into a dangerously paranoid individual. On the streets of the Twin City, Angela meets twelve year old street smart Tommy T who adopts her and her dog. Tommy is all alone in the world except for a weird man living inside a cave overlooking the river. Tommy enshrines his hero in a comic strip he calls "Dark Dog". ....... Dark Dog is actually Native American Jesse Brown Wolf, who is a repair person hiding from society as much as possible. Only Tommy knows the hidden abode of the enigmatic man, who he turns to when Angela is knocked unconscious. Jesse reluctantly become Tommy's real life hero and Angela's only hope when her past and Tommy's past collide with their present. Even with a red blooded hero on their side, it appears that the future looks might dim for this threesome. ......... Kathleen Eagle is well respected by the reading public for her fantastic Native American romances and her current release will enhance her reputation. THE NIGHT REMEMBERS is a brilliant thriller that demonstrates the girth of talent Ms, Eagle has. For only someone with her ability could combine Native American legends into a contemporary tale filled with the redeeming power of love to heal all wounds. Fans of Ms. Eagle will long remember this classic story. .........Harriet Klausner

Summary: The Best of Kathleen Eagle!
Review: Angela Prescott, fleeing an unhappy past, finds herself in a big and often frightening new city trying to create a new life. A charmingly impish Indian child of the street named "Tommy T" takes her under his wing. One night, when Angela meets trouble, Tommy enlists the help of his idol, the darkly mysterious, troubled Jesse Brown Wolf who lives in the night shadows and who finds himself, (reluctantly, at first) taking on the role of Angela's guardian angel. These three misfits, drawn together by circumstance and raw need, find refuge in one another and, eventually, trust, love, and the makings of a modern-day family.

Ms. Eagle writes an intriguing and touching story with just the right mix of Indian folklore and magic. The relationship between Angela and Jesse is exciting and romantic, and young "Tommy T" will pull your heartstrings and make you long for these people to come together as a family.

Summary: Not good
Review: i din't like this book i din't hate it either but i think that it needed some definate improvements, it felt like it was meant to be a mystery book and romance as an afterthought, this was my first book with kathleen Eagle never again.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not her best
Review: I found the plot to be a little forced and overly predictable, even for the genre. Kathleen Eagle has written some great romances (esp. This Time Forever), and I look forward to her next one. But The Night Remembers was a disappointment.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Best of Kathleen Eagle!
Review: I love all Kathleen Eagle books, but this one is my favorite! It has a love story like so many of us fantasize - the one who comes to you in the dark... dream of him and there he is! I will read this book time and time again.
