Summary: When Love Commands
Review: While rushing back by carriage to tell jeremy that she belongs with HIM, she gets into an accident.
Marietta blacks out for days, and finds herself in the care of the natorious Russian Count Gregory Orlov.
She has him take her back to the Inn where she and Jeremy were staying only to find that he has left WITH ALL HER MONEY! She has no idea what to do because she is penniless.
Orlov comes up with a proposition. She is to escort him and his niece Lucy to Russia and be Lucy's traveling companion. Marietta has no choice to accept.
While in Russia, she is known as Gregory's mistress. She soon finds out that Gregory is using her in his attempt to get back his old lover the Empress Catherine.
In an attempt to help Lucy get out and flee from Gregory she is cought up in a merchant rebellion. The leader asks that she join by his side, but she refuses, and is locked up in a cage and sentinced to death. Will someone help her? Or is she destined to die there?
Truely a wonderful book! Marietta is a really brave heroine! All the hardships she faced in the last two books have made her strong enough for the third. This is a very inspiring tale and i loved it!
