Rating: Summary: A Downright Pity Review: Has anyone realized--after reading this book, that the heroine never actually gets married? Since when is she the blushing bride? Still, the book was very informative although the plot was not portrayed true to the time period.
Rating: Summary: A Simply Cute Tale! Review: 1886 Sierra Nevada Range, California
THE BLUSHING BRIDE is a light, easy and simple story of love discovered between two independent business-minded people on a mountain in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. One is the owner of Kruger Brother's Lumber and Milling Company and the other is owner of Becoming Brides Matrimonial Service. Jason Kruger doesn't want women on his mountain and Amanda Pierce is determined to provide the loggers with perfect wives!
If you're looking for an undemanding carefree read, you'll enjoy this one.
Rating: Summary: A Blushing Bride? Review: Has anyone realized--after reading this book, that the heroine never actually gets married? Since when is she the blushing bride? Another let down was the fact that some of the morals of that time period were compromised. But other than that, the book was very informative. I learned alot about mail order brides and such. So, I gave it 4 stars.
Rating: Summary: My favorite Harlequin Historicals author Review: Judith Stacy is my favorite Harlequin Historicals author for a reason: each one of her novels are compelling and touching. The Blushing Bride is the best yet. The heroine runs a mail-order bride service, which I thought was extremely original and fun to read. Not only is the romance between the hero and heroine great, but I enjoyed seeing how the heroine changed the entire town. Great subplot too, non intrusive and heart-warming. I really liked this book!
