Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Unexpected disappointment
Review: I really tried to get into this book, but I couldn't seem to follow the characters at all. The hero and heroine didn't come across like they really loved each other. I wished their could have been more involvement or romance between the couple.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Missing Ingredients
Review: Sorry, but I felt nothing while reading this book. The so called relationship between the two main characters seemed forced; so, it mattered not whether the couple had a happily ever after. In fact, I only finished it because I made a commitment to do so.

The story takes place mainly in 1999, leading up to the new millineum of course. Some things that happened, in fact, could quailify this book somewhat as a science fiction, but that's another story. The protagonists, Tashia and Jackson, meet when she decides to take him on as a client. Eventually they start seeing each other, and at times, speak of growing feelings for one another, but I found that hard to swallow. I don't think a very good job was done in convincing us of this. There was neither chemistry, nor sparks between these two people.

If you're looking for steamy love scenes, forget it. Normally, I can take or leave them, but I think because of the weak plot, a little steam wouldn't have hurt. When the two are together, they're usually just interacting verbally. And I don't recall too much talk, if any talk of their undying love for each other.
