Rating: Summary: Unexpected disappointment Review: I really tried to get into this book, but I couldn't seem to follow the characters at all. The hero and heroine didn't come across like they really loved each other. I wished their could have been more involvement or romance between the couple.
Rating: Summary: Missing Ingredients Review: Sorry, but I felt nothing while reading this book. The so called relationship between the two main characters seemed forced; so, it mattered not whether the couple had a happily ever after. In fact, I only finished it because I made a commitment to do so.The story takes place mainly in 1999, leading up to the new millineum of course. Some things that happened, in fact, could quailify this book somewhat as a science fiction, but that's another story. The protagonists, Tashia and Jackson, meet when she decides to take him on as a client. Eventually they start seeing each other, and at times, speak of growing feelings for one another, but I found that hard to swallow. I don't think a very good job was done in convincing us of this. There was neither chemistry, nor sparks between these two people. If you're looking for steamy love scenes, forget it. Normally, I can take or leave them, but I think because of the weak plot, a little steam wouldn't have hurt. When the two are together, they're usually just interacting verbally. And I don't recall too much talk, if any talk of their undying love for each other.
