I think it was badly plotted an if you want to read a very good book I sujjest The Pirate Prince by Gaelen Foley, now there is an is a great book that I couldn't put down, and gave all my friends to read it, who loved it as well. Sorry Peggy but it is not as good as it sounds from your description.
