Summary: The absolute BEST
Review: I have read every book Lori has written and this one tops them all. She makes you feel as if you are living Sophies life and weaves in the political climate of the 80's. The loose ends are neatly tied together at the end of the book. While this may not be realistic, it is a satisfying ending.

Summary: OK for light reading
Review: This book is okay if you like light reading. It's a sweet romance, and it does deal with some issues of cultural adjustments, grief and spiritual growth. However, in my opinion, it is not a five-star book. The writing is often stilted and too simple, and the characters are not well developed.

Summary: An excellant book, Lori makes all the characters come alive.
Review: This is one of Lori's best books. Each character becomes so real to you as you read it. The relationship between Alex and Sophie grows into the kind of relationship that the Lord would want for all His children, the christian testimony and personality of Sophie gives you someone to want to model your life after. I would reccommend this book to anyone.

Review: This is one of the most heartwarming books I have ever read. Lori Wick is an amazing writer as she is able to draw you into the beautiful story of Sophie, her struggles, her faith in God and how it sustains her. It was a very uplifting story of God's faithfulness through everything.

Summary: Lori Wick is incredible
Review: Lori Wick is an awesome author. She captivated me once again. I have read almost all of her books and this one has to be the best. It touched me in many ways and made me realize how much God really cares for His children. The first time I read it, I couldn't put it down. I've read it 6 or 7 times since then because every time I read it I find something that I missed and I finish it with yet another blessing. So, don't listen to anybody that says this isn't worth it because they don't know a good book when they see one. Thank you Lori and keep up the good work.

Review: i just wanted to say that this is one of the best books i have read. sophie's faith was absolutly inspiring. she was so humble that i thought highest of her. the romance was a beautiful story about finding a true love, that you really didn't have to look for. i read it twice because i actually missed the characters.

Review: I really enjoyed reading this book because I am a romantic at heart and Sophie is a wonderful character. I loved the way she treated the children and always asked for the Lord's help. The mother-in-law was a stinker but it just added to the character of the book. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a good clean read.

Review: This is a great book for anyone, whether your 13 or 45! I couldn't put it down, it makes you feel as though your really there, like you've met the characters it's WONDERFUL!! Lori Wick is the best fiction writer, i've read 5 of her books and she never let me down! i would recommend this book to anyone from someone that just wants a good book to curl up beside the fire with to someone that needs some real life encouragement in their walk with Jesus Christ!

Review: I absolutely loved this one. Sophie and Alec were perfect for each other! I had such a fit over Alec's mother in law, but she was all right. The story was good, the romance was excellent, and Sophie's accent was cute. I recomend this book to any one who likes Lori Wick, and to any one who doesn't like her will after reading this one!
