Review: I have ready every book Ms. O'Donnell has written. Once again, she has not disappointed me. Her words bring life to her charcters. You are literally transported into another time and another world. That is what she has done with her story about Terran & Bria. Terran, a strong and mighty warrior yet foolish. Bria, a strong and loving woman (who believes in heroes) who brings healing to a wounded and foolish heart. Bria was forced to marry her enemy, Terran is not your typical love story we are so used to reading. Trust me, their story is different and will keep you so involved in their lives that you will be pulling for them. On the other hand, Kenric, the villian, you will not like a bit. In fact, I found myself shouting to Terran "wake up" and see the true person Kenric really is! If you want to find a book where you can escape, and one that will leave you wanting more, then this is a MUST READ! My only complaint is that I read the book to quick! I couldn't put it down. I tried to make it last but I was so caught up in the story. Oh well, just means I'll have to read it again and again. I highly recommend this book. Thanks Ms. O'Donnell once again for writing such a wonderful story!

Review: Terran, Lord Knowles, is shattered. His fiancée Odella poisoned herself rather than marry him, and her last word was another man's name. But he needs another betrothal-- and another dowry--or his estate will go to ruin. His cousin thinks that Bria Delaney would be a perfect choice. Bria would beg to differ. It's bad enough that at eighteen, she is finally being made to marry. After her friend Mary disappears and is presumed dead, guilt about Mary and anger at the high taxes propel her to don the disguise of the Midnight Shadow. She is very handy with a sword and able to protect herself. In the midst of this, Bria finds herself married to Terran and falling in love with him. Terran wants her to reveal the identity of the Midnight Shadow. Bria wants to reveal the identity of the real villain of the keep. Though both main characters are led by their emotions and feelings of guilt and remorse. The villain seems obvious, the Robin Hood figure and the setting make for an enchanting, mythic tale.

Review: This is a great book! Bria, the heroine, is a fiesty, brave, courageous woman who becomes her childhood hero. Terran is a powerful, handsome hero who won my heart! I couldn't put this book down. I can't believe how much this book was filled with excitement and romance! I just loved it and plan to read it again. After...I look for Ms. O'Donnell's other books.
