Summary: An excellent look at the ten-year span of a "friendship"
Review: Adrianne Byrd's MY DESTINY is a light-hearted look at a ten-year relationship between a man and a woman who think they're "just friends." The characters go from antagonism to friendship to love. The secondary characters are excellent. They and the readers know early on that Miles and Destiny are more than friends. The book has some great laugh-out-loud moments and some very poignant moments as both characters deal with the deaths of close family members and expectations they have placed upon themselves as a result. If you liked "When Harry Met Sally," you'll enjoy "My Destiny."

Review: I absolutely loved this book! Got it at the library last week and fell in love with it. Even though it takes place over a period of ten years, you don't feel as if you're being rushed through the novel. I do believe that a male and female can be just friends but sometimes love is right in front of you too. I wish BET would make this a movie. I would like to see it adapted to the small screen.

Review: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I don't always love Adrianne Byrd, but I bought this one because I thought I would like the storyline. Well, I loved this book from beginning to end. I will definitely take a closer look at some of her other books that I may have overlooked.
