Summary: Wonderful characters with a great story>
Review: Set during the final months of the civil war, Wade must pose as a confederate soldier to obtain vital information for the union army. He fakes an injury and settles into Deanne's plantation where he ultimately obtains his information but in the process falls in love with Deanne. Despite his fear that she will hate him when she finds out the truth, he marries her before he goes back to the north. Naturally there are bad people and plots
in the storyline and troubles to overcome. I love stories written in the civil war era because it was such an emotional time in our history and everyone had to make choices. This era reshaped our country and the people who lived during that time, real or fictious, had to be courageous and committed to survival.
You'll fall in love with wade and deanne.
