Summary: Real For Me....A Must Read!!!!
Review: If you are looking for a good read that takes you into a REAL world of people, then this is IT! While reading this book, I felt like I was watching a story of a group of people that I knew. All the characters had REAL hearts, REAL souls, and were REAL. Is that why it is titled, "Real for Me"? I felt like I was the fly on the wall and you know what that's like? It's like getting into someones head without their permission. You truly understood each character and where they were coming from. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to get a laugh, a cry, and a WHAT!!!!!???????... It had some twists and turns which made it totally unpredictable. It's a thumbs up in my book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Review: If you are looking for an edge-of your-seat, nail biting , anticipatory reading adventure, then this is the book for you. I read Mr.Pete's book in one day. The characters were truly believable, and had that familiarity ring to them, that I just couldn't help but "feel" each one. The plot was unique and the ending wasn't predictable . I have been spreading the word about this brother to my friends and co-workers;and we all agree, this is a MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations and write on

Review: In the realm of contemporary fiction, "Real For Me" is 'As Good As It Gets'. Eric Pete tells a story that transcends race, gender and economic status and speaks to what we all desire: To love and be loved. The author's writing style transports you from your living room to Los Angelos where you become involved in the lives of Glover and Max. The main characters, as well as the ensemble of supporting characters are so well written that you visualize them and begin to anticipate what they will do next! This book has everything: love, friendship, loyalty and a "jaw-dropping" surprise ending!

Review: Kudos to Eric on a great debut book! It was a great gift and I enjoyed it tremendously. Being from L.A. and living and having family in La., I really related to your book. The writing and storyline were very entertaining. I am looking forward to reading your next 2 novels. I could see people in my life in everyone. The reader is able to get into the minds of all the scenes as though you were there. I found myself screaming as though they would hear me! Summary: Real for Me was real for me... you go Eric!
Review: Real... was so good to me! I read this book in 2 days, I could not put it down, The characters were very developed and I felt like I knew them. The characters were down to earth and I felt myself rooting for Max and his silly boy Smitty. They were doing their thing trying to do better in life and I loved it. I love books with drama and this one was not a disappointer. Eric you did a wonderful job and I am off to read, Someone's in the Kitchen.

Summary: Wonderful Debut Novel
Review: Single, attractive, and living in Los Angeles are the three elements that make up Eric Pete's first novel "Real for Me." Maxwell Guillory, also known as Max, has moved to Los Angeles from Lake Charles, Louisiana as is working at Denny's until he finds a "real" job. He and his running buddy Wallace "Smitty" Lewis use their days off from their respective jobs to find new jobs that will take them further. It is during this job search that Max meets Glover McDaniel. Glover is a beautiful, independent, newly engaged woman who works at the California Employment Development Office. She is engaged to Lionel Dunning, the son of a prominent attorney. Although Glover should be overjoyed, she is very apprehensive about her upcoming wedding and shares her joy and her pain with her two best friends, Mona and Charmaine. Mona and Glover went to college together and they both met Charmaine when they began working together. Glover and Maxwell's paths may have never crossed if he had not come into the employment office, but from the moment they meet they are completely enraptured with one another. Real for Me is a great book, it takes you through the trials and tribulations of the relationship of Glover and Maxwell and the people around them. There is tragedy, comedy, and pain all wrapped up in this debut novel. On the RAW scale this book is a 4. Reviewed by Simone
