Summary: I dont no about the other reviews but i defitnely like it.
Review: I really,I mean I really enjoyed reading this book. This book never disappointed me.I was very satisfied with the story and its conclusion.I purchased this book at a local store, and the cover attracted me the most, but once I started to read it I did not want to put it down. The only thing that I can say that I dislike about the book was that it was not told from a main person point a view.It also skipped alot from topic to topic and I was not able to read the parts in between. All -n- all it was a Great book!

Summary: Friends or Lovers?
Review: Shemone and Darnell had been friends for years, but went their separate ways after high school. Shemone went on to college to pursue a career in writing, while Darnell went to prison after pursuing a lucrative, yet illegal drug career. The death of a mutual friend places them back in contact after many years and their connection is undeniable. After his release from prison, Shemone and Darnell have to answer the difficult question; Can life long friends become lovers without sacrificing the friendship?

Although the main focus of the story is the friendship and ultimately the relationship between Shemone and Darnell, Hunter Hayes does an excellent job in tackling various other social issues. Infidelity, trust, prostate cancer, social inequality and family relations are several sub plots that added depth and consciousness to the story.

Hunter Hayes has done a superb job with her sophomore novel. The characters are true to life and the plot has several different elements that keeps it flowing and crisp. I would recommend this novel to any one looking for a quick read that is both funny, romantic, and socially conscious. I look forward to future works from this author.

Summary: Terrific!
Review: Terrific! A Pair Like No Otha' is an excellent novel. It truly inspires anyone to strive to do their best and never give up on their dreams. Also, this novel shows the importance of family and friends, which I found to be refreshing.

This is the first novel by Hunter Hayes that I've read and I'm looking forward to reading many more in the future. She's an excellent writer and storyteller. I recommend that anyone who has a moment to sit down and read this book because as good as it is, it will only take a moment to read. -AL

Summary: Very Idealistic
Review: This book is a good read for young readers or those into hip hop culture. The book is idealistc; however ,it does bring up some good relationship issues as well as awarness to some of the issues African- American women and men face today. This book is a nice read, although it is not for everyone.

Summary: Great Cover But The Story Went Downhill
Review: This book took me three weeks to read. I usually read two to three books a week. The story starts off slow then picks up and then takes another dive. The dives take a lot away from the story. At one point in this love story she has Darnell say to Shemone do you want my arm to fall off in reference to Billy Dee Williams. But then the writer states Billy Dee said this in Mahogany.WRONG,WRONG,WRONG. Billy Dee said that line in Lady Sings The Blues. Then she has a character who gets shot and is practically brain dead and she allows him to live which was not at all realistic with the story line. Although this is fiction reading is about making it realistic. And last but not least Shemone and Darnell get married and even though it was only close friends and family Darnell's best friend who was one of the main character's throughout the book was not even at the wedding. This was definitely a sad,sad story.

Summary: "Mr. Right"...
Review: This is a well written story about a successful young writer's romance with her best friend from high school who has recently been released from prison. The story has a great ensemble cast of friends and family and touches on many relevant issues facing single African-American women, such as making more money than your significant other. This is a must read for any single African-American women who's searching for "Mr. Right" in the new millennium.
