Review: Highly enjoyable. A well-paced, well-told story that never lets the reader down. If you are new to the genre (like me) this book is a wonderful introduction.

Summary: Wow!
Review: I thought I was in for a by the fire, mind-numbing, read but what a surprise! Ms. Hailstock's work had my mind racing and my heart thumping! This was no romance, although there were several going on. This was an action-packed high speed chase. What fun! I can't wait to see what else Ms. Hailstock has in store.

Summary: Spine Tingling Good...
Review: This should not be labled Arabasque, this was a great romance mystery which sped you to the edge and kept you there. "Who to trust?" was the question of the day and No One was without suspicion. Ms Hailstock wove a tail so intricately, and involved all of the characters in such a unique way that you were left just shaking your head. When you thought you could relax and take a deep breath, 'wham' you were back on the run again. This truly did not end, until the end. Get your favorite snack and settle into a comfortable position and embark on the chase of your life. Kudos to Ms Hailstock on 'White Diamonds'. Now, I need a quite corner just to catch MY breath.

Summary: This one should be read by a fire, with all the lights on.
Review: This story was so well done, it left me with only one question. Do the publishers read the stories? Why do the cover photos look so different from the descriptions we are given? Okay, so that was two questions, but it disturbs me and a number of the members of my book club to have such jarring differences between the literal and the visual. Get it together Arabesque, we're watching!

Summary: Comments from the author of WHITE DIAMONDS
Review: White Diamonds came to me during the miserable winter we had two years ago in the Northeast. The ice caked up outside and we were always looking out of the window and being able to see little else. I began my "what if..." analysis. What if there was a car at the end of the driveway with only it's lights blinking? What if there was a man in that car who'd been hurt, stabbed? What if he was carrying something valuable, like diamonds, $10 million worth of diamonds? Sudeenly I had a plot and I had two characters who marched right in and said they wanted to be in this book. I got pencil and paper (actually a computer screen) and started recording everything they said. By the end of that night (more ice storms on the way) I'd written the beginning of White Diamonds which was called Randolph's Defense at that time. Since then the book and I and the characters have had many fights -- some I even win. But it is finished. The final proof-read copy was sent back to the publisher this week so the book will begin to be printed very soon. I've already had a review from Harriet Klausner which will be in Affaire de Couer next month. Her comments read: "WHITE DIAMONDS is a fast paced romantic suspense that entices readers to finish in one sitting. The lead characters are first class as their budding love struggles to overcome a very powerful outside challenge to its survival. The audience will shout: "hail, hail" to Shirley Hailstock for a great story." Those of you who read my first book, Whispers of Love, will be find two very well known friends making an appearance. Shirley
