Rating: Summary: Very highly recommended Review: OTHERWISE ENGAGED, the January selection of The Personal Touch! miniseries is not to be missed. Cara Summers presents the story of Tyler Sheridan, who discovers through the personal ads that her groom will miss the wedding. When she seeks out a Private Detective to find her fiancé, Tyler meets just the wrong guy at just the right time. When these direct opposites meet, the chemical reaction is extraordinary!Thy have nothing in common except passion. Tyler's a Boston socialite and president of her company. She hires Nick Romano to find her erstwhile fiancé. From the first glimpse of the sexy, hunky Nick, Tyler's hooked. In the six months she'd known Richard, she'd never known him to stir anything close to the reactions Nick produces instantly. Sheridans don't hit people and they never loose their temper. They certainly don't fall for PIs. But in Nick's company, Tyler finds herself behaving in strange and different ways. From the moment Tyler shows him her grandmother's recommendation, Nick finds Tyler getting to him. He'd already had the electric and phone disconnected, his boxes are packed, and Nick is ready to pull up stakes, leaving the world of PIs behind for becoming a lawyer. Then Tyler sashays into his office, convincing him to accept the case. His instant attraction is only cooled by the need to find out what Richard is up to. When Nick realizes that the missing in a fake, a liar and a kidnapper, he becomes determined to find the truth about the missing fiancé. And while they are otherwise engaged, Nick and Tyler may find that their hearts have a mind of their own. If not for the personal touch, these dynamic characters would never have met. Even the twist of the title provides a nice giggle with its play on words. Indeed, Cara Summers creates a humorous, highly entertaining contemporary romance with her delectable writing style. Very highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: An absolute deeeelight! Review: This book is by far the best Temptation edition I've read in a long time. Of course, there are other editions which are very good as well, but this one is outstanding. I was ABSOLUTELY mesmerized from the story and the two distinctive, idiosyncratic characters who pull this book out of the ordinary. Cara Summers will hold you spellbounded right from the start. And if that's the case, you usually know that you're about to read a great book! Actually, while reading this book you have the feeling to watch a movie 'without any filmcut'. So you can be sure it defines the term "page turner" with sexy characters that kept me smiling, funny dialogue that rang true, and situations that made it impossible to put the book down until the end. What happens when a somewhat uptight, by-the-book Boston socialite and an easy going P.I. get together? Well, let's just say the result is hot...and definitely passionate! When Tyler Sheridan discovers through the personal ads that her groom isn't planning to show up for their wedding, she thinks it can't get any worse. That is, until she hooks up with seriously sexy P.I. Nick Romano to find her erstwhile fiancé...and ends up wishing her groom had taken out his ad sooner... Nick Romano has had it ' with the detective business and with women! But when gorgeous, desperate Tyler shows up at his door, all of a sudden he is considering the unthinkable - to postpone his move to California for a few more days. What can he do but help her out? Only he'd never guessed how good they'd be together ' in bed and out. But Tyler's still wearing another man's ring...though he tried to make sure for not much longer! Nick and Tyler, from opposite backgrounds, couldn't be more different and that's what makes their relationship so exciting. From the first moment on, sparks fly though both try to ignore that ' very unsuccessfully. But you will never question the sudden closeness between the two of them! Ms. Summers has a way with characterization and readers will love the hero and heroine. I've been reading Temptations for years, and this book is right up there with my favorites of all time. I love it when I really laugh out loud with a book. In 'OTHERWISE ENGAGED' Cara Summers takes you on a roller coaster ride of romance and a little suspense. She knows how to capture a reader's attention and refuses to let it go. Absolutely wonderful reading! Prepare yourself for a wild ride!

Rating: Summary: Otherwise Engaged Review: Tyler Sheridan and her privet investigator Nick Romano would not rest until they found Tyler's missing groom Richard Lawrence, who mysteriously disappeared one week before their wedding. Otherwise Engaged written by Cara Summers deserves a three-star rating because of the romance that it brings and the action towards the end. Cara Summers wrights about how Tyler Sheridan was raised by her grandmother and how she plans on taking over the family company. One day she met a guy out of the personal ad's whom she planned on getting married to. Suddenly he disappeared which lead Tyler to hire a privet investigator. While on their search for Richard Taylor realizes that she can not resist Nick's seductive charm; then on top of all the mess that is going on she falls in love with Nick not realizing what she was doing. The book did occasionally drag at times although it does have a strong sense for romance and the action that comes more towards the end. It also keeps the readers eager to know how the book is going to end up. Cara Summers drags out her book at time because one chapter will be Tyler and Nick (p.i) either talking about the same thing or they will be in one place the whole time like in chapter one and in part of chapter two. Also when Tyler and Nick started to fall for each other he would go to kiss her yet under all that passion she would still push him away leaving the readers empty handed as to what was going on with her. The book clearly states that she likes him and in one part it even states that she was in love with him. She finally gave in towards the end of the book and made love to Nick. The book should have also had more action in the beginning and towards the end. These are the reasons why the book drags on a little bit. The romance part explans how she saw Nick lying on the couch in his office. As she walked over to him she notice how his skin just glowed from the sweat and how hot it got her to see him that way. She wanted to rub her hands on his chest. Through the whole book Tyler and Nick would kiss from time to time and it would make them so hot that they would forget where they where at. At the heat of the moment they would stop and realize what they where doing. Nick would go to kiss her again but Tyler would not allow him to. The book really heats up when they finally made love and they both realize that they have fallen in love with each other. Finally in the middle of the book towards the end comes the action. This is when they start to put the pieces together about her missing groom Richard. Twice during the book two men tried to kidnap Tyler. The first time they tried to make her get into a black van then Nick stopped them and they got into a fight. Later on Nick and Tyler were coming out of a club at night and the same two men were there, only this time with guns. They manage to escape the horrifying moment. There was a ransom note on how to get Richard back. Tylor gathers everything that she needed including the money and she went to the desired location. When Tyler got there she realized that Richard was not who he claimed to be. He knew how much Tyler was worth so this was why he had planned on getting married to her. So he changed his name to hide his idenity. At the end when the so called Richard tried to escape with the money Nick and the two guys showed up. They all started to fight and the gun that Richard had he tried shooting Nick with it. Instead Richard was the one who got shot and the fight ended. When the cops came they took Richard and his two buddies to jail. Tyler and Nick ended up making further plans to be with each other. Overall as stated in the beginning this book deserves three stars. Anyone who likes romance books will like this book. After reading this book anyone might want to look at their own life as to where it stands. A great experience and lesson to be careful on who you might trust because it could happen to you.
