Summary: Exciting Debut Author
Review: I started this book during my lunch hour and couldn't put it down. I left work early just to finish it. The book moves at a quick pace, and every chapter leaves you guessing what is going to happen next. The book is written by a new and talented novelist, Catherine Burr, whom I can't wait to read more of. I anxiously await her next novel.

Summary: Tuck "Silicon Secrets" into your beach bag!
Review: I was immediately drawn in the troubled life of young Lucky Lukovich, whose passion for life, matched his passion for women. Like a wild animal, would Lucky be tamed by free-spirited Heather or become like his mentor, J.J., whose interest in Lucky, was not all business. The sexual tension between J.J. and Lucky was hot-hot-hot.

Summary: A Gem!
Review: I'm not easily impressed with most novels, but "Silicon Secrets" is a definite winner. An excellent balance of action, suspense, and love, this book is one of those novels that you'll stay up an extra hour for just to read a little further. It's also obvious that the author is California 'insider.' Cheers Catherine Burr, your book is a keeper!

Summary: Recommended
Review: In Silicon Secrets, author, Catherine Burr, has done a phenomenal job of describing Silicon Valley to anyone who hasn't experienced it before, and for those who have, they will recognize certain elements, character types and locations in and around the Bay Area.

Summary: Like a Hot Fudge Sundae!
Review: It is a treat to discover authors that have talent and ability to engage a reader, as author Catherine Burr has done in her debut novel, Silicon Secrets.

Well-developed characters, dialogue, and descriptive narration make Silicon Secrets, a recommended book, and author Catherine Burr, a fresh new voice in fiction to watch.

Summary: Hidden treasures
Review: It's interesting that 2 of my 3 favorite reads of late are novels way off the beaten path. PREY by Michael Crichton is a number 1 best seller written by a renowned author, and CLONED LOVE by Thorne Peters are written by unknown authors, yet all three are first rate novels. I enjoyed all three very much. In this novel we visit current technology and get a look at the machinations of the software world, which we are engulfed by these days. And, like in CLONED LOVE, it manages to add romance to the story. PREY is predominately about the nano tech with humans seasoned in and CLONED LOVE is about lovers with the story of their technologically engineered heritage seasoned in. In that sense, all three of these novels together weave a sort of trilogy-like tapestry that enlightens, entertains and enriches.

Summary: A Pleasant Surprise
Review: Looking for something to read the other night, I found this gem on my wife's night stand. I didn't have high expectations - a "chick book" - but at least it was set locally. I was wrong! The story moves along - it was a quick read - and I was drawn in by the characters. I cared about Lucky and Heather and enjoyed the twists and turns. I know I've met some of these people and the guessing only added to the fun. When Ms. Burr's next novel comes out, my wife better not leave it laying around if she wants to read it first.

Summary: True love (and lust!) never seem to run smoothly
Review: Lucky Lukovich is a young man who thoroughly enjoys the companionship of women and has an energetic flair for living life to the fullest. Then Lucky meets free-spirited Heather and his personal world is about to get complicated and unpredictable! Silicon Secrets is about unintended consequences in human relationships and how the course of true love (and lust!) never seem to run smoothly. Silicon Secrets is the debut novel of Catherine Burr, a genuinely gifted author who demonstrates an undeniable ability to craft memorable, entertaining characters and then thoroughly embroil them into a hectic and unpredictable sequence of events that produce one of those all-to-rare reading experiences that linger in the mind long after the book is set back upon the library shelf. Highly recommended!

Summary: Waiting for the next installment of Lucky's adventures ...
Review: Order Silicon Secrets for your book group (we did), gather your girlfriends around, and have a rip-roaring time discussing Lucky and whether or not you'd put up with his shenanigans.
