Summary: Story was great...
Review: ... but once again this author was sloppy with her details. Gregory, the child with autism, is described as having black hair throughout the book, but when Graham depicts Sam's office she writes that there is a picture of a child there. The only child in the book is Gregory so the child in the picture must be Gregory, but Graham says he has blond hair in this scene. Another time, Rowan's maid Adelia tells Sam all about her husband who is a prisoner in Cuba. She tells Sam that his name is Mario, but later when Adelia thinks of him again his name is suddenly changed to Julio. Arrrgh! And the typos! The book is literally littered with them. So frequently and egregiously do they arise that they interrupt the flow of the story. The copy editor of this book should be fired!

Review: In Miami, Florida, criminal defense attorney for the ultra rich Marnie Newcastle feels as proud as a peacock when the workers completed her rebuilt house. The non-stop story line is filled with crackling action and the detail needed to propel the plot to its exciting climax. The lead protagonists make a daring duet, grappling with their love, past demons, and the missing Marnie. I could feel the danger lurking off Key Biscayne. The twisting complex relationship between Sam, a witty, brave woman & Rowan, her sexy ex-lover was truly enjoyable. Summary: A good summer read!
Review: Despite the zillion typos, Sam is a lovable and strong female character, not a fuddy-duddy like some that Belva Plain or Mary Higgins Clark come up with. I just don't know who this character is who reappears at the end that everyone keeps talking about! Everyone is pretty consistent. Get past the typos, and you can enjoy this one.

Review: From the ghastly, engrossing first page through the suspense-filled surprise ending, Graham's new novel reads like the book Mary Higgins Clark has been trying to write for years. Graham manages to make one actually feel the sweaty atmosphere of hot, humid southern Florida, so much so, that as one tears through the the pages of this pulse-pounding and ever-so romantic thriller,this reader found himself mopping his brow on more than one occasion. As for characters, each one has a rich and unique personality, seldom seen in the genre. Ms. Graham's moments of humor are apt, never calculated and always derive honestly from the characters, as well as being welcome tension breakers. If you've never read a Heather Graham novel-GET THIS ONE! For suspense, romantic or otherwise, it just doesn't get any better. Bravo! Ms. Graham. You've done it again!

Review: Had it not been for the major inconsistencies in the book it would have gotten 5 stars. If the author can't catch the mistakes you would think the editor would. Adelia's husband Mario suddenly becomes Julio 20 pages later..... typos galore.

Summary: Good for romantic suspense readers!
Review: I am a fan of Ms. Graham's romantic suspense books. The first one I read was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. For some reason, this one did not live up to my expectations since DROP DEAD GORGEOUS left me gripping to the very end. This one is still a very good book with an interesting storyline. However, at times I found it difficult to follow some of the dialogue. The dialogue was choppy, jumped around a lot, and did not flow easily. I did not find all the typos that the other reviewers mentioned. There were a few but they did not deter me away from the story. I did notice the inconsistencies, however, but probably would not have picked it up if it weren't for the reviewers here at AMAZON pointing it out. I did have a little bit of trouble with all the different characters, so I drew a flowchart of the 3 homes on the peninsula and how all the characters were related to the people living in the houses. The killer was not too surprising since it seems like everyone in the book was a suspect. However, other parts in the end was surprising and the total outcome was positive and uplifting. It was also interesting to read about the geographical areas of Florida, since I love Florida! All in all, it was still a great book and I recommend it for romantic suspense readers. However, I rate it a star below DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.

Summary: Deadly Boring
Review: I did not like this book at all. I could have put it down any time and not continued. I thought the running back and forth from each other's home overdone and each time they went out one door and around the other side they remembered they left the other door open. What spooked them all so bad? One neighbor gone for a short time? or a spooky phone call days later? I did not find it suspenseful at all and the characters all seemed to be so hung up on Marnie and who all she had slept with,etc ya da da,ya da da. But alls well that ends well right?
