Summary: My All-Time Favorite Book!
Review: After reading Deb Stover's most recent release, ALMOST AN ANGEL, I begged my bookseller to order all her titles for me. SOME LIKE IT HOTTER came next, and I devoured it. While I loved ANGEL, SOME LIKE IT HOTTER is even better. In fact, this story takes the place of honor on my keeper shelf as my all-time favorite book. I saw it referred to somewhere online as "Dirty Harry Meets Scarlett O'Hara." That pretty well sums it up. When detective Mike Faricy's partner is killed in a shoot-out, Mike is willing to do anything to turn back the clock, including selling his soul to the devil. As it turns out, the devil sends his minion, Slick Dawson, who offers to send Mike back in time one day to prevent the killing. Slick is the nastiest villain I've encountered in a long time in fiction of any genre. Whew! Mike awakens back in time one day...plus over a hundred years! Now he has to prevent his partner's murder from 1865 Mississippi! He's in the same antebellum mansion he was in when he sold his soul, b

Review: Deb Stover is one of my favorites--an author who never lets me down. She's innovative, edgy, and her work is sheer genius!

Summary: Not what I expected...
Review: Hmmm... Kind of like it, kind of don't. Don't know why I was expecting a lighter read than this - but I was. It's not however a light read. It deals with a minion of the devil himself. Definitely not a nice character. Can't deny that the story is a definite new twist; However, unfortunately, the author has spent way too much time describing Mike & Abigail's feelings for each other & thoughts about each other. Kind of aggravating & gets a little boring.

Summary: Best Time Travel Ever!
Review: Hot, hotter, hottest. This book sizzles from beginning to end, and I'm not talking only sex (though it's fabulous). The story sizzles. A contemporary detective sells his soul to the devil's apprentice (one of wickedest villains I've ever read) to go back in time one day to prevent his partner's death. He ends up back one day plus over a hundred years. Suspense, romance, paranormal, time travel, all in one book!

Summary: Best Book I've Ever Read!
Review: I've reread this book six times in the past year, and it's better each time. "Dirty Harry Meets Scarlett O'Hara" is about right, but it's much more than that. It's about a man who'll do anything to right a terrible wrong, and a woman who'll do anything to protect her son. It's about evil, love, and honor. Slick Dawson is the quintessential villain. ::shudder:: Read this book!

Summary: Hot Southern Nights
Review: This book is really different. Revenge, lust, love, murder, time travel, a shape-shifting devil's minion villain (oh, what a wicked, vile, evil creature!), and a romance that transcends time. This is a book that stays with you long after you close it. Whew! One of the greatest ever.

Summary: Some Like it Hotter by Deb Stover
Review: Wow! I've never read a book with such a terrifying and convincing villain. The romance sizzles, and the hero's quest to save his partner's life will bring tears to your eyes. The heroine is a mother--the best kind. She'll do anything for her son, regardless of the price to herself. Two desperate people from different centuries, the quintessential villain, and one heck of a story. WOW!
