Summary: Intense passion in Body Contact
Review: Despite bearing an uncanny resemblance to Cherry Adair's Hide-and-seek in the plot, Rebecca York propels her debut Harlequin Blaze offering with sweltering sexual tension between her characters Maddy Guthrie and Jack Connor. Working for industrialist Stan Winston as a security provider, Maddy is distraught when she has lost his daughter Dawn to an old-time enemy of the family, Reynold and decides to team up with ex-CIA agent Jack Connor to retrieve her back from the clutches of a mob boss under the guise as a crime-lord and his love-interest. To get their acts together, Jack persuades her to open sexually to him even though he feels hard to admit he reserves feelings for Maddie. Through dangers and surveillance in the Orchid Island, they find treachery amidst which threatens their lives and binds them together....

Rebecca York combines action and passion, charging the relationship between Maddy and Jack with erotic tension which is the main focus. The action is regrettably cliche - and there are highly improbable situations - like the experienced Maddy being duped by Reynold's mistress and the escape part just came too easy. However it is undeniable that this is a romance at heart - and it shimmers with mutual lust and intense passion.

Summary: VERY INTENSE!
Review: Going undercover as a "rich man" and his plaything, security agent Maddy Guthrie and ex-CIA agent Jack Connors try to find and rescue the kidnapped daughter of Sam Winston who was taken by his enemy. Their undercover work becomes more than just work as their trip progresses and Maddy is anything but Jack's plaything. From the start of the book, there are things that shock you, entice you, thrill you, and make you gasp for that much needed breath. As the heat is turned up and the danger becomes more intense, Maddy and Jack fall for each, hard.

BODY CONTACT was intense from the start and it didn't let up until the end. The ending was divine and the character supreme. Ms. York has written a gut-wrenching, belly flop, creative novel. I didn't put it down till the end and then I was disappointed it was finished it was so good. I can't wait until Ms. York's next book and hope it has the impressive qualities this one had.

Summary: Unlike other blaze novels...
Review: Its got suspense and erotica all rolled into one. very different from all other blaze novels, but in my opinion, a break from the same problems, "oh we can't be together because i've got issues," was great. it didnt seem at all like the blaze series, this novel can stand on its own!

Summary: book desciption- back of book
Review: Maddy Guthrie is used to working undercoverp- but posing as a rich man's plaything is pushing it! Especially when the "rich man," fellow agent Jack Connors, has one stipulation: make love first so they can get comfy in their roles. * The sex they share is incredible. But Maddy knows she's breaking ironclad rules as they work side by side. The only safe place to communicate is in the steamy shower- and that's far too arousing for Maddy. Then there are the silken bedsheets... where Jack loses all control as he touches her. As the mission escalates, there's a new kind of danger to deal with- the state of Maddy's heart.

Summary: Explicit action and suspense! WOW!
Review: What a difference experience makes! Ruth Glick writing as Rebecca York has over 25 years of experience writing series romance. Her Blaze debut takes the intensity of the suspense she is known for and melds with page searing sexuality and sensuality between two adults whose passion burns hot.

I definitely agree that this reads like a Cherry Adair novel with some extra mystery elements tossed in. This explicit and gutsy and sexy- totally fun and wild ride!
A keeper and makes me anxious to read more Blaze by REbecca York!

If you like the mystery but the sex is a little too intense and graphic- read her 43 Light St series by Harlequin Intrigue- I have put together 2 listmania lists with many books by Rebecca York from both the Intrigue and other series lines. One of her hallmarks is writing stories about men and women with real careers who do a variety of different things for a living- means her books are all quite different and you do not mistake one title for another like you do with some others whose books kind of blur together after a time.

Summary: Superb undercover tale
Review: Winston Industry security chief Maddy Guthrie believes she screwed up her assignment of watching over her employer's teenage daughter Dawn. Though her charge slipped her a sleeping pill, Maddy feels culpable for enabling Dawn to flee to Manhattan. Calling in ex-CIA agent Jack Connors for help, he finds out that thugs working for Oliver Reynold abducted Dawn. Because Oliver hates Dawn's dad, Maddy and Jack worry about the victim's safety, as this is not an "ordinary" kidnapping. Oliver holds Dawn prisoner on Orchid Island in the Caribbean.

To safely expedite Dawn, Jack poses as a wealthy man while Maddy acts as his plaything. Jack forces Maddy to share sex with him before they go undercover so that their performance seems genuine. The sex is more than great and soon the two operatives fall in love. However, their feelings must be kept in abeyance as the danger mounts for them and Dawn.

BODY CONTACT is an exhilarating romance that is literally and figuratively action-packed undercover. The story line is loaded with sexual tension and taut suspense though Jack's initial insistence of sharing sex before the tropical encounter seems more like a bad male ploy. Still Rebecca York cleverly blazes a heated suspense that will garner her new readers who will also want to follow secondary character Alex Shane's adventures in Harlequin Intrigue's upcoming FROM The SHADOWS.
