Summary: Rated PG for "Pretty Good"
Review: I rarely give 5 stars to any book. I never thought to award them to a Harlequin novel, but I could only find one problem to gripe about.

The story is hopping along until the Boston high-society guy whips out a "gold card" to make a reservation. Am I supposed to be impressed with a gold card? I think not. The truly wealthy have platinum cards or use American Express. Otherwise, the book is "gold."

Summary: Wonderful
Review: Once again Candace did not disappoint the reader. It was hot and I could not put it down until I finished it. I have read most of her books and they just get better.

Keep it up.

Summary: Wonderful love story -- Highly recommended
Review: One of Boston's most eligible bachelors Reed Sullivan has grown accustomed to his great-grandmother Moira Sullivan's perchance for matchmaking. So when he arrives in the drawing room for tea, Reed expects another matchmaking attempt, not a business pitch. He's also accustomed to commanding the respect and desire of marriage minded females, so Zoe's brazen outspokenness takes him aback. Worse, Zoe's lushness inspires lascivious fantasies when he should be concentrating on business.

Zoe knows that Reed's impeccable manners and perfect self-control conceal his suspicious disapproval, which he later articulates, calling Zoe a greedy, money-grubbing mercenary. As an honest business entrepreneur, Zoe finds herself incredibly insulted that Reed accuses of her of brazenly trying to bilk an old woman out of her money. As a woman, she's stunned when her gypsy sexiness doesn't gain his favor. Her looks usually give her an edge in dealing with men, and Reed's reticence proves frustrating.

UNINHIBITED contains the substance and dazzle of a great love story. Unfortunately, it lacks the eroticism that readers expect from this line, providing thrill and tease, but not delivering until the end. Nevertheless, scorching looks and brooding passion underscores the sensuality of the narrative, providing it an intense sexiness - who knew marble playing could be sexy? In addition, Zoe's multifaceted personality delightfully proves that a woman can be sensual, tempting, and innocent all at the same time. Further, the secondary characters of the story add an additional depth and verve that makes their reviewer hoping Zoe's best friend gets her own story. Highly recommended.

Summary: Wonderful characters, sweet story
Review: One of these days, Reed Sullivan is going to settle down, marry and have 2.2 children, and be moderately happy with his life. What he won't do is let his great-grandmother hustle him into a relationship. So when he finds that the latest babe at his great-grandmother's side is not a prospective wife but a businesswoman looking for an investment, why isn't he happy? Something is wrong with this picture and it centers around Zoe Moon--a woman who couldn't make him moderately anything if both of their lives depended on it.

Zoe is looking for an investor to help expand her cosmetics business. Reed's antipathy surprises her--she's used to men gaining a positive first impression--but her reaction to him is the real shock. Her mother proved to her that relying on hormones will get a woman in trouble every time but every time Zoe sees Reed, her hormones shift into high gear.

Author Candace Schuler has created two really interesting characters and a host of supporting characters that add a depth beyond the standard series romance. Recognizing that a story can become more sexy by denying rather than fulfilling the sexual urge, Schuler ratchets up the tension between her characters until neither they, nor the reader, can stand any more. Blaze readers may be surprised to find only one detailed love scene, but that one is a doozy.

Summary: What one can do with a bunch of marbles.....
Review: Uninhibited by Candace Schuler (Harlequin Blaze)

A bohemian-looking CEO of a start-up cosmetics company meets a straight-laced suit in UNINHIBITED, one of the original Blaze Harlequin books that started the new line of Harlequins a few years ago.

Zoe Moon has been selling her own cosmetics by word of mouth and is finally ready to go big-time. She meets an elderly woman, Moira Sullivan, at a cosmetics boutique and Moira is ecstatic with the products. She has money, or at least her grandson has money, and decides she wants to invest in Ms. Moon's creams and perfumes. However, the big drawback is the grandson - Reed Sullivan meets Zoe and thinks that a) Moira is trying to set him up with yet another woman and b) Zoë is a money-hungry voluptuous bimbo.

In the mean time, Zoë won't admit that she's very attracted to the highly attractive multi-millionaire bachelor. Reed, however, makes it pretty obvious that he's interested in Zoë. The sparks do fly, but both manage to keep their hands off each other till the very last minute, AFTER Zoë and Reed and Moira have signed all the contracts for their new cosmetics company, New Moon, making it a legal entity. What happens after is left to the reader to find out, but now I can see how even a game of marbles can be hot and sexy!

I'm giving UNINHIBITED marginal thumbs up. I loved the character of Zoë Moon. She was a very unique person that listened to her own drummer and did not seem to care to follow the crowds. But I had a problem with the story line and the writing style. It could be my personal taste in books. This was my first BLAZE novel and it may just not be the type of romance line I enjoy. I prefer the Harlequin Superromances, which don't have as much "heat" but a lot more substance.

Summary: A fun read for a lazy afternoon!
Review: Uninhibited by Candace Schuler is a really fun way to get lost for an afternoon. A book that is easy on the eyes and a quick read to boot!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Cute Story
Review: Zoe Moon is free spirited, and the CEO and only employ of her cosmetic company. She would like financial help from Boston matron Moira Sullivan. Her handsome great grandson, Reed Sullivan IV thinks the sexy red-head is after his grandmother's money. He is also having some erotic thoughts about Zoe as well.
Reed's fiancee walked out on him and married someone else. Reed is known as being all business and has been called cold hearted. Zoe finds that not to be true. Over a three month period as they set up her company they get to know each other and although both would like a sexual relationship, they keep it business until the business is done and then "meltdown."
The write up on the back of the book leads to a let down if that is what you think will be in the book. It implies the story is "sizzling" and erotic. It's not. The story is cute and the characters interesting. Gina and Reed's first encounter, besides a kiss, is three-quarters of the way through the book. You want them to get together and you like Zoe and her friend Gina and Gina's Italian grandmother and all the neighbors. It's a nice story and a fun read with a predictable ending. It is not erotic or what I would expect from "Blaze," but it is romantic.
