Summary: Frustrating inaccuracies
Review: If you're in the military prepare to be frustrated. Women in the Navy haven't been referred to as WAVES in over 20 years. At no time were female hospital corpman referred to as "Corpwaves". Ms. McKennas has the women officers wearing enlisted uniforms instead of khakis. These are just a few things that are irritating - there are quite a few more. If you can get past the inaccuracies the plot is quite good. Harlequin/Silhouette should hire a former military person to proof read their books that deal with military plots.

Summary: Romantic Times Review
Review: Protecting His Own (Silhouette Intimate Moments, 1185) Morgan's Mercenaries VI Ultimate Rescue

by Lindsay McKenna

A devastating earthquake has left the LA Basin a ticking time bomb. Squalid conditions are making disease rampant and a group of survivalists are impeding government assistance. This is why Marine Captain Roc Gunnison is assigned to protect Lt. Commander Samantha Andrews and her medical evacuation team. However, Sam and Roc are both strong leaders and neither wants to give an inch of control. Talented Lindsay McKenna delivers excitement and romance in equal measure in PROTECTING HIS OWN (4.5), where her storytelling skill paints a picture that draws readers directly into the adventure.
