Review: First time for me reading a Kathleen Kane book. It won't be the last. I've already ordered more of her books! I love romance books that are different from the norm. (I.E. girl meets guy, falls in love, and they live happily ever after). Not that these are bad, but I love it when a story has a different twist. When the halo falls definitely has a twist. If you love to read romance novels with a twist as I do, then this is for you!

Summary: An Angel in disguise
Review: Patience Goodfellow is in love which would be great but she's an angel and the man she loves is her charge Brady Shaw. She's been with him through everything and knows he's a much better man than what the world would believe. After trying to convince her "boss" that she should talk to him she goes into a shop and dreams. She wonders what life would be like if she were engaged to Brady. She takes up her halo to try on a veil and trips and hits her head.

When she wakes up she has only one thought in mind. To visit her fiance but when she visits him he has no idea who she is. She thinks it's all a joke and stays put. Suddenly the whole town believes she's Brady's fiance and more importantly Brady wants her to be his. A funny charming novel that will make it into your keeper pile Kathleen Kane writes a touching romance.

Review: This was the first time I had read one of Ms Kane's books. Let me assure you, you will not be disappointed in this masterpiece! This was a good book. I laughed, I cried. This was a good book!!

Though her superiors do not want Patience to reveal her identity to Brady, she strongly feels this is the right time to straighten out her ward that she believes hides a heart of gold. In 1885 Fortune, New Mexico Patience sets her plan in motion, but is accidentally knocked out with her halo removed.

Patience suffers amnesia forgetting that she is a two-century-old angel. Instead she believes she is Brady's mortal fiancé. Brady laughs at her contention, but is stunned when she knows things about him that no one but he knows. As Brady falls in love with his angel, Patience regains her memory and is willing to move heaven and earth for an eternity with Brady.

WHEN THE HALO FALLS is an engaging historical fantasy romance that will leave the audience believing in angels. The story line is amusing as a bewildered and often irate Brady feels devilish when Patience leaves his shoulder for his heart. Fans of fantasy and historical romance tales will share in common the belief that Kathleen Kane is their special angel sent from up above to provide infinitely vogue novels that readers love.

Kathleen Kane always comes thru for me. When I need an "ahhhh" moment in my life, I pull one of her novels down and read it again. When I need a laugh, I pick up my tattered but oh-so-loved copies of Ms. Kane's many works. When the Halo Falls is yet another keeper. I just wish I could have her cloaned so that she could write a book each month!

Patience Goodfellow will thrill you. She will touch you in places you never knew you had. Brady Shaw is the type of hero that makes you root for him and wanna shake some sense into him at the same time. What I love about this novel is that you also grow to love each person in it. Lily, the former lady of evening, grew on me and I rooted for her "lawful" love.

You won't waste good money with this author, that is for sure!

Review: With "When the Halo Falls," Kathleen Kane writes another book that will tug at readers' heartstrings at the same time it leaves them with a smile on their faces! Great characters, a wonderful plot, an innovative idea and a writing style that is a joy to read...Ms. Kane does it all and she does it all well. You've love this one. I did!
