Summary: Great choice for the bubble bath. Bring chocolate.
Review: Heroine: plump/voluptuous

Hotel chef Ruthie Sinclair has been to so many wedding lately: her older cousin's, her younger cousin's, and her own mother's. But just when Ruthie feels motivated to move things along with her own fellow, he makes a run for it and leaves Ruthie to console herself with chocolate cake and champagne left over from the latest connubial bash at her family's business.

Carefree bachelor and corporate hotel scout Robert Kendall is always on the prowl for a new addition to the Winchester chain of hotels. He knows how to best gauge the quality of a potential acquisition, and that's to peek in the kitchens when no one else is around. But to his surprise, his midnight excursion to the depths of the Kerrigan causes him to stumble upon a cute, if a bit teary and bleary eyed, red head elbow deep in chocolate cake. Southern gentleman that he is, he can't help but inquire if she is all right.

One thing leads to another and this completely disparate pair find themselves falling for each other. But what do you do when you are only compatible in bed, and find yourselves on opposite sides of a potentially ugly business merger to boot?

What worked for me:

I liked Ruthie's taste in men (at least once she dumped the boyfriend) and ice cream. (New York Super Fudge Chunk is divine!)

The characters were sweet, and the story was at times sexy and funny.

Size-wise Ruthie was soft and round.

What didn't work for me:

You may have to check reality at the door of this particular hotel in order to believe how Ruthie unknowingly wound up in sexual heaven in Robert's bed.

Ruthie fought maybe a bit too long against getting together with Robert for my tastes. But she did have a point, which is that getting together with someone with whom you have nothing in common seems, well, pointless.

I would have liked to have seen Monica get taken down a peg or three. That would have been nice.

Overall:

"Suite Seduction" was a cute, quick read. A good choice for the bubble bath.

Warning: This book has some steamy moments within its pages.

If you liked "Suite Seduction" you might also enjoy "Carried Away", "The Independent Bride", "Midsummer Lightning", "The Librarian's Passionate Knight", "The Bridesmaid's Reward", "More to Love", "His Seductive Revenge", "Truth and Lies", "Getting Lucky", "Born to be Wild", or "Spellbound".

Summary: Great Read!
Review: Hot, funny, emotional ... this one is headed directly for my keeper shelf. Leslie Kelly is an automatic buy for me. Thanks for a great read!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A winning tale
Review: In Philadelphia, Ruthie Sinclair knows she should be ecstatic for her best friend and cousin on the latter's wedding night but she feels depressed. Instead of proposing to her as Ruthie not so gently hints, her boyfriend Bobby has fled the scene. Ruthie would prefer to be anywhere but at the exclusive old hotel, the Kerrigan Towers.

At the same time as Ruthie is going through her bout of despair, businessman Robert Kendall evades Monica Winchester, who has just given him the key to her hotel room along with a condom. Robert is a bit stunned that his boss's daughter could be so brazen, but he plans to not act on the offer out of loyalty to his kind employer.

Ruthie and Robert separately sneak into the hotel's kitchen where they meet. After sharing some champagne, the two strangers in the night make love, but in the morning after a glorious sensual night, Ruthie rejects Robert's overtures. He wants more from the woman who has given him the best evening of his life, but she cannot see beyond her personal mortification even if love seems to be a warm embrace away.

SUITE SEDUCTION is morally incorrect in today's world where strangers should not share unprotected sex. However, the amusing story line centers on a disbelieving Ruthie's refusal to accept that the handsome and sophisticated Robert would desire her. The lead charcaters are an entertaining duet struggling with a relationship and not a one-night stand. Leslie Kelly provides an enjoyable "Wrong Bed Harlequin" that is the right berth for those readers who relish an amusing contemporary romance.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A funny and sexy read - You'll love it!
Review: Ms. Harriet Klausner is correct, this is indeed a 5 star book and is well worth your time. I would, however, like to correct some misleading information in her review.

First and foremost. The characters in this book do not share unprotected sex. This issue is a plot point and Ms. Kelly presents it maturely, humorously, and yes, morally. To suggest that she doesn't is simply not true.

The second point is that the review as presented seems to suggest that the primary conflict between the main characters is the issue of a "one night stand". The review fails to clarify that the hotel (which is mentioned in the review) is owned by Ruthie Sinclair's family and the business that "businessman" Robert Kendall is in is acquisition (by hostile takeover) of hotels. That's why he's there. This oversimplification of the plot doesn't do justice to the book and detracts from Ms. Kelly's talent for character development.

"Suite Seduction" is wonderfully entertaining and a worthy successor to Ms. Kelly's last book "Night Whispers" which I also loved. I appreciate the time and effort that Ms. Klausner expended in producing her review and I agree wholeheartedly with her 5 star rating. I felt the need however to correct some misinformation that could lead to moral judgements that would simply be untrue.

Summary: great book
Review: This is worth reading! The characters are lovable - especially the secondary characters (the old aunts). However, i did like relentless much more.
