He is threatening Jen with a custody suit. She, in a moment of panic claims Matt Holder as the father of her child.

Therein starts a great mix-up that leads Matt to looking after Jen. But, boy, when his parents find out he is to become a father, they lay an elaborate, humorous plan to convince Matt to marry Jen. Which leads to their own remarriage.

Matt can not stand the thoughts of marriage after living through his parents' bickering, shouting matches and divorce.

It is a lively, lovely story - one you may want to read again later.,
