Rating: 3 stars
Summary: OK
Review: I gave this 3 stars because I think it would have been better less some chapters. The time Tykota and Makinna spent avoiding the Appache went on too long. The story was good Tykota and Makinna were each torn in their own way. Love and duty. Without ruining the ending, I'll say, I read fiction for a reason: I like they way they end.

This is the first book I've read of Ms. O'Banyon's so out of respect to her and her fans, I don't consider myself a good source to decide to buy the book or not. I lean to Nora Roberts and Stephanie Laurens but this was a pleasant read.

Happy reading.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I don't usually like Indian stories, but this is great!!!
Review: I love the tenderness of this story. I love the Indian facts and the descreption of El Paso. I know Ms. O'Banyon did her research because she's right on target. Give me more, and more like this, Ms. O'Banyon

Summary: Duty or Love?
Review: Tykota, son of the chief of the Perdenales Indians, was forced to leave his homeland as a boy when several attempts to kill him failed. Raised in England, the thought of one day returning to his people is paramount. He is on his way back, after his father's death, when another attempt is made on his life. Fate brings the beautiful Makinna into his life and forces him to choose between his duty and the woman he loves.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I AM A TEXAN, AND I SAY KUDOS TO YOU, CONSTANCE O'BANYON, YOU KNOW HOW TO WRITE ABOUT MY STATE. TYKOTA IS A PERFECT HERO, STRONG, YET SENSITIVE. I REALLY FELT THAT THESE CHARACTERS CAME TO LIFE. WILL THERE BE A SEQUEL?
