Summary: Absolutely inspiring and beautiful
Review: I loved this book. All the hype about it was more than acurate. It is so wonderfully emotional and inspirational that I just couldn't stop reading it until I was to the end. I think the author did a great job and this would be the idea book for any one of any age. Thanks a million to the author and I hope he continues to write for our enjoyment for years to come.

Summary: New author does wonders with romance
Review: If you are looking for a page-turner about innocent romance that focus more on the relationship than on the materialist world, then look no further. This author has proven on his first time out that he is ready to add a new dimension to the romance novel world. I would highly recommend that anyone who wants to share a love so pure as Cindy and Charles buy this book and enjoy a simplier time in your love life when your love was more important than the distractions of the real world. Thank you 1st Books for giving this author a chance.

Summary: Simple and unforgettable
Review: It must be love at first sight and is meant to be. Chuck Marshall and Cindy Beck are high school sweethearts who aspire to succeed in life and build a family together. An unexpected twist of fate shatters their dreams and brings about irrepressible laments.

Like many teenagers, Chuck and Cindy hold part-time jobs, long for their driver's licenses that signify near adulthood, and cram for schoolwork at the library after school. Like many unhappy families, Chuck's family is unhappy in its own unique way. His parents are not only cold but also uncaring and nonchalant, waiting for him to graduate from high school and get out of the house. Unlike many teenagers, Chuck and Cindy remain true to their values that they are unwilling to lie about going camping on their own. Honestly helps Chuck earn favor in the eyes of Cindy's father who reassures his trust in the young couple.

The novel takes the young couple through the growing-pain times of high school where they have the thrills and challenge of Cindy competing in Miss Rodeo Queen for which Cindy trains strenuously at the stable for seven months. It is through the rodeo contest that the teenagers learn about the true meaning of happiness lies not on winning but the company. Another unforgettable, throbbing moment is the school talent show in which Chuck and Cindy perform a timeless duet "Endless Love." The teenagers reassure their love for one another and that Venus has witnessed their unfailing love.

Up to the point when the couple graduate from high school and Chuck decides to join the Air Force in order to see the world, I am somewhat disappointed at the predictable, too-good-to-be-true story however profusely the love story has enthralled me. No sooner has Chuck joined the military, endured the turmoil in boot camp and awaited an overseas assignment than the novel takes a twisted, convoluted turn that triggers a shocking impact in the aspiring couple's lives. Is it really meant to be? Is unbearable grief really necessary to bring each floating bit of memory and love to full actuality?

The writing is simplistic, trimmed to the bone, with no satiating garnish and lyrical prose styling (which I normally savor in literature and historical fiction). The twist in the plot toward the final third somehow redeems the predictable, straightly chronological narrative. The reading experience is comparable to watching a one-hour television episode of a bittersweet romance. The book is meant to be unforgettable. A noteworthy debut. 3.5 stars.

Summary: Great for people graduating from high school
Review: This book is just incredible. It told a beautiful story while offering sound insights on what life holds while demonstrating young love through the eyes of Charles. Cindy was one fortune lady in the book to have had a wonderful boyfriend like Charles. It makes me want to relive my high school days again. I can't wait for this author's next book. I recommend it for young people who can learn a lot on what life has to offer and I think everyone who enjoy touching stories will be grateful in reading this one.

Summary: Beautiful and Touching!!!
Review: True love, something many of us search for but never acquire in our lifetime.
Unforgettable was a heart wrenching story of a young and innocent love between Cindy Beck and Charles Marshall. It began with a simple note from Charles asking Cindy to be his girlfriend. Cindy lovingly reciprocated his love through all of their trials, tribulations, and accomplishments throughout high school. Charles proposes marriage to which she accepts, and joins the military to get a college education. Although he does not like the idea of being separated from his love, together they decided it best that he’d be trained for a job to support their new life together. Tragedy strikes as his airplane crashes. He is the only survivor, and as he lay in a coma for over two years he is miss-identified as his close friend James and thought dead. He awakes to find that Cindy is gone, and after many years of being unable to locate her, he receives word that she has passed away from cancer. Her final words to Charles are expressed in a letter of love to him before she dies, along with Charles original note to her which she had safeguarded her entire life as an expression of their undying love. She had kept that little note as a true treasure of their eternal love for one another.

The story was so beautiful and touching. The author Frederick A. Babb has the biggest heart of any man I have ever come to know. It was a privilege to read his tale of true love, and I highly recommend it, as it is one of the best love stories I have ever read. I am looking forward to read his next book in his series, TORN and his many other future works.

Summary: A life changing experience
Review: Well I read your book yesterday. I decided to wait until the anniversary of my wife's death. Maybe a mistake, I don't know. But anyway, I hated it. I did not hate the book, rather I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I hated the pain and the hurt and emotions it brought out. There were so many memories from the past. I hated the pain of remembering. The hurt of, at the age of 25, finding what true unconditional love really was and the emotions of losing that after 22 wondrous years. My late wife made me promise that I wouldn't put my emotions away again and go back inside myself. I didn't realize how much I had put away from every one and even from myself. Your book brought out all of this. I bawled like a little kid during and after reading it. I didn't know I had so much dammed up inside of me. But I needed to release it all, and now that I have I feel an inner peace that I haven't felt in a long time. So I guess this book was about the best therapy I could have gotten anywhere. I know the author understands losing a loved one, and I feel so sad for him and his loss. So thanks for this book, I've unburdened myself of a lot of self induced pain. And now I really am ready to love and live again. Thank you for writing a very emotional book. Even though I hated what it forced out of me, I love what it brought back out of me, my old self. This book I will treasure forever. And I plan on reading it time and again. The author did an excellent job. I'm going to give a copy to my Hospice worker, so maybe she'll understand more about what it is like to lose some one you love besides family. She tried to help our support group but admitted herself that it was hard to understand as she had never experienced it herself. I think this book will help a lot.
