Summary: Witty and hilarious
Review: I have read quite a few regencies and this is one of the funniest. The humor is very dry and had me laughing outloud. Both hero and heroine are a match for one another. This book was so good that I am reading others by Patricia Coughlin. A good book for the intelligent reader who enjoys a fast moving, genuinely humorous -- not contrived -- comedy. The characters develop and the love relationship is believable.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoying!
Review: I have to say that I normally try to stick with a few authors that I know will always be good, so I was hesitant to try a new author. However, after reading the reviews and synopsis I thought I would give it a try and found I really enjoyed it. It was the type of book that you really didn't want to put down. I thought the idea of how the Duke ends up marrying the girl was ingenious and it made me want to find out how it turns out. I did think it dwindled a little bit at the end but overall I really enjoyed it. It's a definite good read.

Summary: A most enjoyable read!
Review: I highly recommend this book to anyone. It's a wonderful book which kept me laughing all the way through (ok, except near the ending). I finished it in an afternoon and looking forward to re-reading it again. The dialogues are witty and really funny and they don't depend on the stupideness of the naive/innocent heroine to make the reader laugh. Instead, Leah is a very clever woman and Adrian is wonderful. The story goes on without delay, without 10-pages dialogues, and with great humor. A very nice, entertaining book for anyone to read which will lighten up your day!

Summary: This is a Keeper
Review: I just loved this book; started off with a bang, lots of humor, great dialogue. I had a friend who is another lover of romance read it and she said it would be one she'd read again as well - a great read.

Summary: Thoroughly entertaining read!
Review: I love a story that makes me laugh, and this one fit the bill. Although the plot was implausible, who cares? Any romance novel requires tremendous suspension of disbelief. If you want reality, read a history text or a newspaper. If you want entertainment, read this book.

Summary: Had a silly smile on my face as I read this...
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I had a silly smile on my face during most of it, and I'm not quite sure why. The interaction between the characters was very good and the characters themselves were 3 dimensional and likable.

Summary: GREAT
Review: I was really susprised. I assumed it would be one of the usual "run of the mill" types, boy was I susprized. The more I read the better it became. It was a very sweet, wholesome, and enduring book.It left me with a good feeling. I hope she continues in this. Sincerely, Edith Glass

Summary: Love it - Made me laugh, couldn't put it down!
Review: I wasn't sure about this book since it is the first of her book I have read, bit I ended up staying up until 2 a.m. to finish the whole book in one sitting. The book was fast-paced (can't stand the books that goes on and on in describing scenes and depicting the inner thoughts of the characters) and extremely funny. However unreal some reviewers may think, it is extremely entertaining. For me, Romance novel is suppose to be unreal and fun... and this one was. Loved the part when Leah showed up at Raven's house unexpected. All the interactions in public were written with lots of humor. I laughed at Raven's reaction to his two friends - they were both rather funny also. The part that he tried to seduce Leah by pretending to be a painter made me laugh. Leah was strong and optimistic - not a meek and whininig person. Raven can be a bit much to take, but is really touching in his own evil way. Although the story is predictable (aren't all romance novels?), I look forward to another from the author.

Summary: Oh boy, oh boy. This is one book that you will like.
Review: If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever.
