Rating: Summary: So So Review: I agree with most of the other reviews, this book was so so. I would also agree that the characters came across as over sexed and in my books none of them deserves dates let alone "husband material". The characters came across as wishy washy with no real depth at all. Successful young woman compromising their integrity to get a man, little wonder they are still single.
Rating: Summary: Single Sistas on the move Review: I enjoyed these stories. The best part, you weren't left hanging wondering what happened to so and so. Although I personally don't see the point of being involved with someone and seeing someone on the side. Too much work. ___ or get off the pot is my theory. I don't think that someone in their twenties would be so obsessed with being married. Being in a relationship maybe but, marriage no.

Rating: Summary: My man!! Review: I got this book as a birthday gift from my man--out of all people. He said he read it before and that I could learn a lesson. Anyway, I thought the book was excellent! First, as a woman WITH A MAN, I don't want to be single again! Those girls went through too much mess. I love the line when Farah says that when men cheat, it is nothing personal, just a man thing. I had to think on that for a while. Also, I really felt Alaya's pain when she lost that good brother. There is NO MALE BASHING in this book. I read the other posts and I think the women who did not like this book, may have been looking for that. Ms. Reid is very honest and showed that women are just as clueless as men sometimes and just because someone is educated doesn't mean they can't make foolish mistakes.Definitely a buy.

Rating: Summary: Different! Review: I just finished reading my copy and I had to put a review on here. The book is refreshing. The whole five novellas set up is fun because it takes you to a different city, girl, etc., in each chapter. I can see why E. Lynn Harris liked it! Pick it up! It's worth it.
Rating: Summary: I guess women can be bad, too.... Review: I just got to reading this book after I saw it on .... I'm not single, but recently was and I could relate. I liked the touch and go feel of the book. It was a light, funny read and the sex scenes will put Hustler to Shame! Ok, but I had one problem. I would have liked to see the girls receive less of the blame. Men are dogs! And this book made it seem like women are the ones messing things up. But anyway, I still enjoyed it and felt that it was another point of view I havent heard. Well done!
Rating: Summary: A black man's Point of view Review: I purchased this book after meeting the author, I initially thought it was another ( all black men are dogs and no good ) type of book, but found that was not true, the characters male and female were interesting and the storylines were diverse, I happen to know several male and females with whom these characters could have been modeled after with very similar life experiences, finally someone showing that some black women could be just as cunning and selfish as some black men, not in a bad way but in a really thoughtful manner. I look forward to reading Ms. Reed next piece of work.
Rating: Summary: Nice try, but it could have been better Review: I read this book in one evening. I think it was a good try by the writer, but I was hoping for much more than a chocolate dipped version of Sex in The City (the book characters even drink cosmopolitans for goodness sake...) This might be a good rainy day read, but it's the kind of book that you read once, then pass off to someone else. The sex scenes could have been a little hotter. You'll be entertained, but you won't get a buzz on...
Rating: Summary: Really funny! Review: I really enjoyed the short stories format of this book. I could not help but laugh most of the time, even when the girls were getting on my nerves! When Farah and that congressman.....Well, OK...It includes a fetish of some sort. I won't ruin it for those who haven't read it! And that little comment Fernando told Alaya about single, successful men was off the wall! (A comment I agree with!). I highly recommend it. I got my copy fresh from Amazon.com last week and I may order another for my niece!
