Summary: JUST SO, SO. . .
Review: (...) One of my complaints about Trust Me Once was there were just too many characters roaming around. Also a couple of the coincidences in the plot line were just too contrived. For those determined to purchase this book, I don't want to ruin the story by being more specific on that point. Maybe a tighter plot would have helped or a shorter story. "Jan Coffey" also writes as May McGoldrick and I recently read THE PROMISE. In my opinion a much better book.

Summary: If you like Mary Higgins Clark, check this author out!
Review: Attorney Sarah Rand wen to Ireland for two weeks. Her best friend, Tori, was house-sitting for her. When Sarah returned to Rhode Island, she was pulled over by the police. They tried to kill her, but Sarah escaped and was picked up by Owen Dean. Sarah had no idea that everyone thought her dead for weeks now! Her boss, Judge Arnold, was arrested for the crime! Sarah could not go to the police, since they had apparently tried to kill her. She first needed to find out why and who wanted her dead so she could come forward with answers to release the judge from jail and not have to keep looking over her shoulder. She called the only person no one could connect her with, Owen Dean.

Even though Owen thought Sarah was crazy at first, he agreed to help her for one day. He quickly became a believer! Soon her had several personal reasons to keep helping her. And bodies were piling up as the killers kept attempting to finish their job!

***** I have no doubt that this one will hit the best seller list! Eery page is filled with non-stop action and suspense. I was able to figure parts of it out, but most were surprises to me. I love books that keep me guessing! It seemed to me, as I read along, that Jan Coffey was born to write Mystery Thrillers! Mary Higgins Clark fans need to take a good long look at this rising author! *****

Summary: A Great Romantic Suspense Novel
Review: I absolutely love this book. I'm not a fan of romance suspense. But this change my mind. Even the different plots twist and turn was exciting not convulted and confusing. I haven't enjoyed a novel this well since Jasmine Cresswell. I can't wait until the next book. Thank you husband-wife team.

Summary: Exciing romantic suspense
Review: It was a long flight home from Ireland, but tired attorney Sarah Rand looks forward to relaxing in her Newport, Rhode Island home. However, on the drive, a police car stops her and the officers try to kill her. She manages to escape and ultimately Owen Dean, an actor and producer who accepts a teaching job at the local college for reasons of his own, finds Sara on the road and drives her to Newport.

In Newport, Sarah learns that everyone who knows her except the killers think she is dead. She realizes that her friend Tori who was house siting for her is actually the victim. She does not trust the police who loathe her for her vocal criticism of their corruption and soon learns not to depend on prominent citizens because they want her dead too, though Sarah has no idea why. Sarah's only hope to survive is Judge Arnold, who happens to be accused of her murder. In desperation, she turns to Owen Dean, as her last chance for survival.

TRUST ME ONCE is an exciting romantic suspense drama that starts at supersonic speed and goes even faster with enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. The story line is action-packed and never lets the reader go, though the audience must accept at face value why Owen willingly places himself in danger for a stranger who rejects police assistance. Still, the audience will root for the couple to win over overwhelming odds in a David and Davidette teaming vs. Goliath confrontation. Sub-genre readers and fans of May McGoldrick, the pseudonym of Jan Coffey, will relish this strong story and trust the authors for more like this one.

Summary: A romantic suspense that will hook you from page one...
Review: Sarah Rand came back from Ireland to see the headlines of her own murder. Before she can even think of what's going on, she is devestated by the obvious loss of her best friend who was murdered in her place. As she realizes how much danger she is in, the only person she can trust is a stranger.

Owen Dean has his own demons to face. When he comes upon Sarah walking along a muddy road, he feels he can do no less than give her a ride. When he realizes who she is, he wants to contact the police immediately, but is convinced by her that there is a bigger conspiracy going on that anyone is aware of.

Over the course of a week, the suspense in Trust Me Once goes up and down, but stays up most of the time. Sarah unknowingly put herself right in the middle of a murder case that took place eighteen years before. Now the only person she can trust in Owen, who she is falling in love with more each day. Together Owen and Sarah work to uncover the mystery behind her 'death' and try to keep her alive at the same time.

Summary: Trust Me Once....You'll love this book...
Review: The action starts out from the very first and keeps on going. Fine characterizations, fast moving plot, and interesting setting all make for a great read. I had only one small, nit-picky, problem and that was the fact that the protaganist, Sarah Rand, who's main objective is to 'hide-out' till she can figure out who wants her dead--ends up hiding out with the most conspicous person in town...a famous tv star. However aside from that, quite an enjoyable ride. I look forward to more from this author.
