Rating: Summary: I Stand Corrected Review: After joining the Arabesque Book Club and cancelling my membership, I can honestly say that Ms. Savoy has renewed my faith in the line of books. Her characters are realistic, the storyline is extremely romantic, and the romantic sequences will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and leave you gasping for more. Ms. Savoy is a wonderful writer and I anxiously await her next novel.

Rating: Summary: What a Wonderful Story Review: Ariel met Jared on the Ferry on the way to Martha's Vineyard. What she didn't know was he was going to the same place she was(her grandmother's house). Jared was mesmerized with Ariel upon their first meeting on the Ferry. It surprised him that she was the same little girl he use to rescue in the past. He heard of the curse of the Ludlow women from some of the other men in Ariel's family. They said the Ludlow women could make you fall in love with them within six days, only you then have to convince them they love you too. Jared couldn't believe this could possibly be true. Well it was. This was a wonderful story from a newcomer. Deirdre did a really good job in creating all the characters in this novel. Love, trust, family are all in this book.

Rating: Summary: Allow your heart to lead & u just follow Review: Ariel Windsor never expected to fall in love but when Jarad Naughton comes into the picture everything that is considered norm is thrown out of the picture. Ariel has had her feelings hurt one to many times and has put a guard around her heart so deep that even her family doesn't understand. Jarad has the reputation behind him as a ladies man but personally has the idea that its time for him to settle down and meeting Ariel and not really remembering who she is he is intrigued by her and the battle begins. After hearing about the rumor spelled that the Ludlow (Ariel's family line) that in six days he will follow in love with her. The story has a excellent story line plot, conflict and all. Ms. Savoy out does her self when she starts out to show you around the Vineyard.
Rating: Summary: The Eyes Really Have It Review: Deirdre Savoy's "Spellbound" was a great book. It was magic the moment Ariel and Jarad met during their ferry ride on the way to Martha's Vineyard. Jarad's kiss left not only Jarad, but Ariel, spellbound. However, the magic did not end with the departure from the ferry. What a surprise when Ariel and Jarad laid eyes on each other again at Ariel's grandmother's house for Ariel's cousin's wedding. All the men in the family seemed to think that the Ludlow women were able to cast "spells" on the men. They were sure it was when the women looked at them with their bewitching eyes. Was it really a curse or just the unveiling of true love? Great start on your first novel, Ms. Savoy. Keep up the good work!

Rating: Summary: I Was 'Spellbound' Review: Deirdre Savoy's first novel SPELLBOUND is wonderful. It takes us to a place many of us only dream of - the beautiful, insular island community of Martha's Vineyard. This is the love story of Ariel and Jarad. Ariel Windsor is enjoying her life as one of New York's beautiful, successful and very much single psychologists. Talented and handsome film-maker Jarad Naughton is a male version of Ariel. He too is very much single and happy to be that way. When these two meet on a ferry to Martha's Vineyard sparks fly. They spark from Jarad because he can't believe the immediate hunger he feels for this woman who seems strangely familiar to him. Ariel feels only anger that this stranger dared to kiss her and won't leave her alone while they are on the ferry to the Island. They are both surprised to find that they were heading for the same destination, in more ways than one. This story takes you in so quickly, you can almost hear the water splashing against the shoreline. Ms. Savoy's writing style and her obvious knowledge of Martha's Vineyard and the folks that inhabit the Island makes for delightful reading. I truly enjoyed getting to know each of the 'green-eyed Ludlow women." From the time the soon-to-be-lovers meet on the ferry to the epilogue you are entranced and truly "spellbound" by Ariel and Jarad.Vannie(~.~)
