Summary: Could not put it down!
Review: I loved this book! I couldn't help but get involved in the characters whose past memories threaten to keep them from what love can offer. Carson was so patient and sensitive with Lara, giving totally of himself in an unselfish way. I thought it had a good story and great sexual tension. It's definitely one I will keep in my collection.

Review: I was somewhat disappointed in this book,it was not near the standard I usually read of hers.. It seem to ramble on and on. I found it difficult to stay with.. I hope I can find some better books of hers in the future...

Summary: Not Typical Quality
Review: This was not up to the high standard of reading I'm used to with Elizabeth Lowell. I usually find myself highly enjoying any book with her name on the cover.

However, mayhap it was the premise of the book that disturbed me more than the actual writing. The hero and heroine of this novel had grown up as as basically half sister/brother to one another. To me, the idea of romance between the two almost rings of an incestual note even though there was no blood relation between them. Her father, unable to acknowledge her since she was illegitmate, and finding his wife unable to bear children adopted him.

When he passed away, his dying wish was for her to inherit the family land and home. He knows this and decides to try and win her heart in order to keep his home. These two have a history of love failing between them, as once before he hurt her deeply. With these premises in mind, I did not care for eithier of these characters..so much so that i'm afraid to tell their names for fear I've already forgotten them they were that forgettable.
