Rating: Summary: It's time for the Family Feud! Review: The Montagues and Capulets of "Romeo and Juliet" and the Hatfields and McCoys could have learned a few things from the Hayes-Grant and Roundtree clans. This Black version of the family feud has been festering for generations. Inevitably, Adam Roundtree and Melissa Grant fall in love. To absolutely no one's surprise, the families don't approve. What IS surprising is Gwynne Forster's ability to take an extremely predictable premise and turn it into a very enjoyable story -- against all odds.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book! Romance and Suspense Review: This is a great book, not only was there plenty of romance, there is also suspense that will keep you reading throughout the night.
Rating: Summary: Gwynne Forster Triumphs -- Whatever the Odds Review: Three reasons I love Gwynne Forster's novels: 1. a larger-than-life hunk of a hero, as well known for his integrity as his good looks. 2. A sexy, spirited heroine, who is the perfect match for her guy in both brains and beauty and 3. sparkling, sassy repartee that makes you wish you knew a man who'd say those things to you. Against All Odds has that and more. Ms. Forster elevates the familiar feuding families plotline to a fine art, weaving a sensuous story you simply can't put down. An intense, riveting read from start to finish.
Rating: Summary: Can love survive the family feud ? Review: Two families in a family feud when love steps in. Adam Roundree and Melissa Grants families have been at odds for years. Will their love survive and what's the feud about? A heartwarming story you will always remember because they went Against All Odds to be with each other. This is a MR (Must Read ) to see how and why a family feud could last so long and the love that brought the familes together again.
Rating: Summary: Not the author's best Review: While this title was not the author's best it is still a worthwhile read. I found the subplot to be a much more compelling love story than the love affair between the main characters. The story dragged in a few places and it was difficult to believe that the other characters could be so shallow. I hope that the author returns to the style of writing that made Beyond Desire such an exciting and evocative read.
