Rating: Summary: Not for all Vampire Romance Lovers Review: Arabella meets Louis Radman through her father who is treating him for a blood disorder. Or that's what Arabella thinks anyway. What she doesn't know is he is actually a vampire and her father is helping him try and become human again. Although Louis initially repulses Arabella she is also drawn to him. Louis too is drawn to Arabella, he is drawn to her strong personality and determination. All this of course is against Dr. Howlands' wishes since he knows Louis's true nature and doesn't want to see his child hurt or put into any danger. Dr. Howland tries to steer Arabella in the direction of another suitor by the name of Wesley. Unbeknown to Dr. Howland but know to Arabella is the fact that Wesley is only trying to court Arabella to further his career and to become a partner with her father. At a party Wesley attempts to put Arabella into a very embarrassing and potentially socially dangerous position so she will be forced to marry him. Louis saves her from this situation which makes an enemy of Wesley. Wesley discovers Louis's true nature and tries to blackmail him into leaving him alone to marry Arabella. In addition he sends someone to try and kill Louis. Bianca the spurned lover and creator of Louis shows up with Gerard the ex-best friend, whom Louis betrayed by having an affair with Bianca while Gerard was in love with her. Biancas' jealousy and Gerards' hate make for a very dangerous situation. I personally loved this book and thought is was a very intriguing start to a great series.

Rating: Summary: Not for all Vampire Romance Lovers Review: Just couldn't get into this book. . .I am a voracious romance reader (& I've been enjoying vampire novels since the late 80's) but I did not enjoy this book at all. The plot was fine, but I've never liked this particular author's writing style~I don't know if it's her word choice or grammar or what, but the books of hers I've attempted reading (including several under her pen name, DANA RANSOM) have required an effort to get through. If you're a fan of this author, then great, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one, too. If not, I'd highly recommend (in the vampire genre) these books: PRINCE OF THE NIGHT by JASMINE CRESSWELL and THE VAMPIRE VISCOUNT by KAREN HARBAUGH.

Rating: Summary: Interesting.... but..... Review: Louis Radman is a vampire looking for a cure for his condition. He travels to England to seek out Dr. Stuart Howland. Howland concocks a risky treatment that may or may not work. If being the doctor of a creature as dangerous as a vampire isn't stressful enough, his daughter Arabella has taken an interest in the mysterious stranger. After reading Midnight Enchantment and Midnight Temptation I was really expecting a lot from this book. For the whole first quarter when Louis is still a vampire there isn't any mild passion or anything. Just out of the blue, after Louis becomes human, he loves Arabella. I didn't really like the two leads. It was the two evil vampire, Gerard in particular, that made things really interesting. It would have been better if they were more involved in the story. Bianca is a wicked vampiress who lives to torment Louis. Gerard is the former best friend who alternately revels in his undead state and thinks he deserves it for killing his family in a haze of blood lust. It's a shame they are really only the focus of a small portion of the story. Another small nitpick that drove me crazy was calling Arabella countess after she married Louis. He is a marquis, so shouldn't she be a marquioness? I really just couldn't get into this book. While putting a less optomistic light on vampires was okay in Gideon's other books, I don't feel it worked here very well. I would only make the effort of finding this out of print book if you are very curious or liked her later novels.
Rating: Summary: Dark Desires Review: Midnight Kiss comes in as one of my all time favorites. It has a haunting quality, that is rarely seen in novels of today. The reader becomes caught up in the plight of the vampire Louis, and his mortal love Arabella, and is unable to put down the novel till the end. A great novel that fufills every reader's secret dark desires.
Rating: Summary: "Destined to become a classic!" --the Talisman Review: MIDNIGHT KISS introduces readers to the sensual world of the vampire romance. Here's what critics had to say about this unique read which is now on collectible lists everywhere:
"A colorful and hauntingly beautiful tale of otherworldly love--5 Star!" --Affaire de Coeur
"A masterful achievement ranking with Chelsea Yarbo . . .
exact proportions of sensuality, excitement and 'shivers
down your spine' create a compelling non-stop read-4+"

Rating: Summary: A genre all it's own Review: Midnight Kiss, catagoried as a vampire romance, is the first of the Midnight Series. When I got the book I was half expecting to be disappointed with it's unrealistic romance and trashy love scenes. However this is not what I found Midnight Kiss to be. Midnight Kiss is far from a cheap and trashy romance novel. Gideon has created a very interesting love story which is both well written and entertaining. Since the book is now out of print it may be somewhat hard to find. However, I recommend reading it if you get the chance. If you enjoy reading bodice rippers then you will probably want to look into a different book. If you enjoy vampire fiction and a love story that does not border on erotica then this will be your cup of tea.
