Rating: Summary: SAME OLD, SAME OLD Review: I had high hopes for this one, but...what can I say, it just didn't measure up. I have nothing truly against this book, but I felt as if I was re-reading McKenna's previous books. The plot was a little different, but not by much. I also felt as if the problems that the couple's history revealed were resolved much too quickly, as usual. I'm sorry, but I just can't recommend this book wholeheartedly. It isn't a bad read,in fact, it's entertaining. But, it's just not a keeper in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: WHY DESIRE? Review: I have the first three parts telling the stories of Reid, Ty and Devon Hunter. I was expectantly awaiting the release of the final installment of the Hunter saga telling the story of the oldest and deadliest Hunter brother, Shep. When I received my copy from Amazon, I was upset to see that the book had been published under Silhouette Desire unlike the first three that where published under Silhouette Special Edition. First, the cover didn't do justice to Shep. I won't take anything away from the context of the story. It was action-packed and intense, but the shortened length of the story was definitely noticable. I just didn't feel the connection between the couple. Everything was resolved too fast. I was definitely dissappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's worth reading, but it just didn't compare. Sorry Lindsay.
Rating: Summary: exciting. Action Packed! even men will like this book! Review: I usually don't enjoy romances, however this one really hooked me just browsing a few pages (sometimes I'll pick up what my honey is reading to see what she is fantising about), and read the whole book in one setting. It was packed with action and adventure, the romance was an additional treat. I liked it because of the Mercenaries, how they operate, and especially enjoyed the airplane sequence. The writer did her homework on weapons, flying and the military scenarios "hook ups" and how the work. The characterization was very well placed and beliveable. These people are living, breathing people with faults and all. It grabbed me and held my attention to where I was emersed into this story to the end. Great JOB Lindsay I'm hooked. Looking forward to the next in the series and I plan to read the others before this one.
Rating: Summary: Adventure and romance--wow! Review: Lindsay McKenna has done it again! This is book 4 of the Hunter Series, and involves the last brother, Shep Hunter. The writing is tight, a page-turner, the characters well drawn and with DEPTH. Not only that, there's a cracking good adventure that just turns up the tension in this book. Lastly, the romance was mature and a delight to read. I particularly liked the heroine's owning her own power and calling the shots. This book shows two strong people and how they learn to listen and work with one another--instead of against one another. A classic Lindsay McKenna!
Rating: Summary: It was okay. Review: My sister picked up this paperback the other day. She thought that because of the lead, Shep, that I'd like to read it. Well, I read it. It was full of action and had a lot of weapons information, which sort of reminded me of Commando. That was pretty intense. Now the romance side, well, I am a guy, but even I could see that the action between the two protagonists got a litte too mushy a bit too fast, especially considering their past relationship. Sooo, I say it's an okay read, but not one of the best. Sorry sis (she loved it).
Rating: Summary: Terrific Story Major 5 Star Read Review: Shep Hunter is a man who likes to operate alone as a mercenary. I liked the fact he has to pair up with a women, who takes no nonsense from him and is able to stand her ground. Even better, Maggie, the heroine, is a great role model for other women.Maggie is confident and poised. This story brought this character to life and watching Shep dealing with her was a delight. She shows the hero how a women can trust what she knows. I really enjoyed the romance linked with the adventure in this story. Lindsay McKenna really knows how to get me on the edge of my seat and keep me there. I couldn't put the book down. Read it. You won't be sorry!

Rating: Summary: TALK ABOUT REPETATIVE! Review: THE UNTAMED HUNTER IS THE FOURTH BOOK WRITTEN ABOUT THE HUNTER BROTHERS IN THE MORGAN'S MERCENARIES SERIES. IT WAS ALSO JUST ANOTHER REPEAT OF THE OTHER THREE BOOKS. BLACK DAWN IS UP TO SOMETHING AND A HUNTER BROTHER COMES TO THE RESCUE WITH THE HELP OF THE WOMAN HE LOVES. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. THE ONLY DIFFERENT THING WAS THE PUBLISHER LINE, DESIRE. THANK GOODNESS THERE AREN'T ANY HUNTER BROTHERS LEFT OR WE'D BE GETTING ANOTHER RERUN! LINDSAY, I DO LIKE SOME OF YOUR WORK, BUT I HAVE TO TELL YOU, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. FIND SOMETHING NEW TO WRITE ABOUT. PLEASE!
Rating: Summary: Shep Hunter wasn't about to be tamed by any woman! Review: This is the 4th and last book of my Hunter Series for Morgan's Mercenaries. Shep Hunter is the iconoclast; the unreachable and oldest brother of the four. He loved once--and lost her. He has hardened his heart to the point where no woman can ever weave her love into his closed heart again. Only when the woman he lost walks back into his life--and into the virulent danger of being bait so that the Black Dawn terrorist will strike at so they can be captured before they loose genetically engineered Anthrax on some unsuspecting U.S. city--does Shep lower his guard and open his heart. But is it too late? I loved writing about Shep. This is a book fraught with danger, powerful and unfulfilled love that has never culminated, as well as lightning pacing. I hope my readers enjoy it. Please let me know! Warmly, Lindsay McKenna
