Rating: Summary: He was Her Dream Lover Review: Cassandra Devereaux has been having dreams about a fantasy man. Someone she can't get out of her mind when she sleeps. For reasons she doesn't quite understand, she wants her employer, a govenrment agency, to send her to Alaska to investigate some strange signals they'd been picking up. But when she gets to the spot, she's covered in an avalanche. She barely gets into a cave in time, her pilot doesn't make it.In the cave she finds a futurestic kind of lab and a man in who appears to be in suspended animation. The man comes to, does not speak English, but he learns it real quick. His name is Thorn and he is her fantasy man, the reason she'd been drawn to this place. But there are others who want to know Thorn's secret. Others who will stop at nothing, who will do anything, even murder, to get their hands on Thorn. This story had me hook, line and sinker from the very beginning and I stayed right with it. Ms. York drew me into her world with ease and she'll take you there too, if you give her a chance. Just a super book!
Rating: Summary: Outrageous Plot, but Still Enjoyable Review: Cassie is on a scouting trip for the FCC in Alaska when she is trapped in a cave by an avalanche. When she enters the cave, however, she finds a strange man who doesn't speak any language she's ever heard and who has been trapped in the cave for God knows how long. Then Cassie realizes that the mysterious stranger is the man of her dreams -- literally. Despite a plot so outrageous it makes me laugh to think of it, York handles the story in the best way possible (under the circumstances), and builds the suspence very nicely as the book progresses. It's not literature, but it's good for a quick, light read on a rainy day.
